BobbyH
Hey all! The lanber I have would benefit from some TLC as it’s looking a bit sorry for itself. list of jobs include - reblue the barrels shine the metalwork that isn’t blue Now, I’m going to do something a tad different, I’m going to paint/airbrush the stock and forend. It will either look brilliant or absolute cack, but dare to be different and all that! So, I have gone through YouTube and got some advice! Didnt get a before photo, but this is my attempt so far at cold blueing the barrels. And with them half Blued -
TIGHTCHOKE
Send the barrels to Dan Bromley in Ashford kent, he'll do them proud. He is occasionally on here as Barrelblacker. I have a set of bright red woodwork I sometimes put on to a Beretta, it annoys DTL shooters, puts them off apparently.

Then that was what it was for T C, we also donated all the Pigeon roost shooting permit money that year to the same charity , each year we all pay £20 each and it go to charity ,or somebody who have hit hard times ( no not me , my times are not hard enough , or so they say ) my ole boss used to make it up to £500 , but when he passed away the permit money still went to a good cause but I think that was all they got , at that time we were letting between 30 and 40 . BobbyH
So, home bluing didn’t go very well, and I’m not going to spend silly money on services. Now I know this is going to trigger a lot of people saying it’s ruined, blah blah, but it was a free gun. I have painted the barrels using hammerite smooth black spray paint. The temp range of the paint is within the temp range I will be using it for, so that’s all good. All masked up the places I didn’t want painting. BobbyH
Next, I’m going to be polishing the silver action, polishing the trigger guard, trigger and top lever. Then, I would like to custom paint the stock

In the absence of traditional blue or blacking it should do its job in keeping the barrels from rusting....and cost considerably less!
