Hey all!

The lanber I have would benefit from some TLC as it’s looking a bit sorry for itself.

list of jobs include -

reblue the barrels

shine the metalwork that isn’t blue

Now, I’m going to do something a tad different, I’m going to paint/airbrush the stock and forend. It will either look brilliant or absolute cack, but dare to be different and all that!

So, I have gone through YouTube and got some advice!
Didnt get a before photo, but this is my attempt so far at cold blueing the barrels.IMG_0250.jpeg.06c85481eaea23795fab1aafeb0ef518.jpeg

And with them half Blued -

Send the barrels to Dan Bromley in Ashford kent, he'll do them proud. He is occasionally on here as Barrelblacker.

I have a set of bright red woodwork I sometimes put on to a Beretta, it annoys DTL shooters, puts them off apparently.

It was done to match the car at the time, gets used every now and then.

NOT on the Game Shoots though.

It would had been coordinated with Red Legs

We had a shoot one day where we were asked to wear something Pink for a charity of some sort . I don't know where I got it from but I got hold of a Red / Pink wig and they dared me to wear it , well wore it I did and someone took a photograph and when we had our shoot meal there was a copy on everyone's seat which put a smile on there face, I have still got it somewhere and I will try and find it so you can have a larf when we have happy hour over Christmas :yay:

Pink is or was related to Breast Cancer, good on you.  :good:

Then that was what it was for T C, we also donated all the Pigeon roost shooting permit money that year to the same charity ,  each year we all pay £20 each and it go to charity ,or somebody who have hit hard times ( no not me , my times are not hard enough , or so they say )  my ole boss used to make it up to £500 , but when he passed away the permit money still went to a good cause but I think that was all they got , at that time we were letting between 30 and 40 .:good:

That I left to him, unfortunately his son didn't want to take the business on and he sold the land for a lot of money for houses in Stamford in Lincolnshire.
