Would you expect to be held 'accountable' in a Court, with a possibility of a prison sentence, or in the latest 'accountable' situation, charged and put before a Court, just to prevent more street riots ? It has to be remembered that those Officers carrying firearms are still human. Mistakes, although thankfully rare, will continue and errors of judgement will be made. I have taken statements from reliable witnesses of an event, although they ALL describe the exact incident, no two statements are ever identical. Armed Police Officers carry out stops on almost a daily basis. You will never hear anything about those 'routine' stops solely because the subject is COMPLIENT and follows the instructions given to them. It is when people fail to comply that the situation escalates, sometimes with a tragic ending. I do not believe that those Officers should become 'victims' for doing their job. The only time that I was at the wrong end of shouty, armed police was when I was clearing pigeons from a local farm, and they had been alerted by a "concerned" member of the public. I obviously immediately laid my gun down, which they checked, and thereafter, they were politeness personified, not even interested in checking my permission letter, which I had proffered. I did wish that I had been wearing brown trousers, though.

Yes indeed 👍 And no need for any tin hat,,,, IMHO 🫡 The FAO in this said that he "wanted an investigation into his actions", and his entire narrative throughout came across as very professional and indeed humble,,,, IMO. mel b3 Posted yesterday at 13:01 Report Share Posted yesterday at 13:01 I've been arrested by armed police . In all honesty, I really didn't find it particularly alarming ( but thats probably just because im used to being around guns) . I avoided getting shot , by doing as I was told . I really can't see why anyone would try to do it any other way.

They shouldn't become victims but they have to be accountable for their actions just like you and me, if they have an issue with that then they are in the wrong job. 6 hours ago, mel b3 said: I've been arrested by armed police . So you think it's Ok for the police to use lethal force because someone doesn't follow their instructions, if that was the case here they would be shooting people every day 🤔

As for be believing he has a bomb, he didn't. And we are back to hindsight. You know he didn’t have a bomb/gun purely because of hindsight. The officers involved didn’t have hindsight, they were told he was one of the bombers and was likely planning to kill countless innocent people. And again I stand by my earlier statement that in their shoes I would have shot him to save innocent lives
