Indeed - and we have a Police and Crime Commissioner who has a department of 67 people and write very long and confusing reports making the budget near impossible to find. The average declared salary seems around 40K, so it is reasonable to assume a staffing budget of around £2.5M and so at a guess a total budget of maybe £3M to £4M? As far as I can see - they do no policing and simply monitor the Force and its activities and produce reports to the various Gov't bodies - where no doubt numerous civil servants are employed to collate and analyse all of the regional PCCs reporting. Bureaucracy gone mad.

It makes a mockery of the whole process.
