Stimo22
Just finished a new stick, this is a piece of rose wood, not burr but genuine rose. Look a bit unusual

Look a bit unusual Looks good I've got one that i will knock up but i am going to try and leave as many of the thorns on as i can, obviously sand down the sharp points by a few mil. I look for the straightest lengths i can with rose, if you can find a decent old rose there are often quite a few decent straight lengths. This was the 1st one i did, posted a while back on here. Look a bit unusual Lovely stick there Stimo. I note that you`ve used an antler fork with three points. I did something similar with a very early one I made which wasn`t very good, but having three points felt good in the hand but could only be used by a left hander like myself. Difficult to explain in words but easy to demonstrate when holding. It`s the one on the right in this early photo. I keep meaning to rebuild it with a better joint to the hazel shaft to make it look far better. OB
