Highlander
No wonder our sponsors are doing so Will I mean well! How do you guys carry all that ****? and why?
fortune
You guys forgot the lorry and wheelbarrow to get it all to the hide site. That is when you can. Wait until you’ve got to drag all that lot along a wheel track in a standing crop when it’s really hot sun on your back. You should be able to get it all there in about four trips to the car / hide. You might even get a few pigeons to come in if you are lucky

fortune
How longs’ your shooting permission going to last after you’ve driven your quad and trailer through a standing crop of wheat or barley to get to the fallen bit that the pigeons are coming into. Farming margins are that tight that you’ll cost the farmer more in crop damage than the pigeons. Unless of course you’re the farmer and you don’t give a toss anyway. I am well aware of farming margins fella and would never dream of driving a quad bike and trailer through a farmers standing crop being a farmers son myself I was bought up to respect other peoples property and wouldn't drive through my own crops let alone anyone else's. Most of my shooting is crow shooting anyway which is done on my own farm. We dont grow any cereals, so all my shooting is done over pasture. That is why I can use a quad bike. If I were shooting over a standing crop in an inaccessible area, then I would walk and just take less stuff. Simple as that

To get payed for set aside ther have to be 3m wide Correct me if im wrong but the set aside that farmers get paid for, i believe you are not allowed to drive on it is this right or wrong.. To get payed for set aside ther have to be 3m wide your not meant to drive on the buffer strips! if the farm got inspected and they found wheel marks on them the farmer will lose a chunk of his single farm payment!! webber
Sorry, but I wont comply with your request ------------------------- in the name of self preservation. If I started to write the list, I would be tempted to put a cost at the side of each item and then add it all up. 1. I may get depressed when I realise how much wonga I have blown in the name of shooting woodies. 2. Should the list ever fall into the hands of Mrs. webber, my position and future shooting could be seriously compromised as she may seek financial reparations. May I just say that I have most items in sufficient quantities; but I do fancy one of those snazzy nets that Lancslad loaned us for the ill fated Oxfordshire expedition. webber
