VULTURE
Hi Just applied for my first SGC and i have a couple of questions, firstly can i assume that if a FEO visits your home you have passed all of their proceedures ,checks etc and once they have checked your cabinet the cert is posted. roughly after the visit how low does it take them to process and post the cert, I,m in Norfolk by the way. The FEO came a week and a half after i posted my application and its now been a week and a half since then. Also i would like an opinion on a shotgun i,m interested in ,its Miroku MK70, are they OK. Many thanks Mark

Many thanks Mark I think once the FEO rings and arranges an interview you can assume that they have looked into your past history etc and found you suitable, but i'm not sure about this. After the interview a seargent will still have to approve everything though. From looking at this thread it's generally about 2 and a bit weeks after the interview for it to come through the mail but i have now been waiting 9 weeks after the interview, rang last Tuesday and was told it was still with the seargent. Frenchieboy
Lancashire Police are very quick, helpful and efficient! Had my SGC within 1 month of application (There was a hold up while I had to wait for my gun safe to arrive and be installed) and then, at a later date I applied for a FAC. Applied for on the 15th June 2009 and had it arrive on the 1st July. Very good in my opinion, hats off to the Lancashire Constabulary, not only quick but a very helpful and polite - (Peter Wilkinson, Lancashire Constabulary FEO-A Real Gentleman, I can't speak highly enough about him)!
