Nial
The like of Caravan, Jethro Tull, Camel, King Crimson, ELP, Floyd, Yes, and my favourite - Gentle Giant. Flares-tastic. Hardly very 'progressive' these days Grandad! I'm into more modern music like Gilbert and Sullivan. Nial

vole
I downloaded Jethro Tull Thick as a Brick after hearing it on the Simpsons. Used to have it as a kid. Bit boring after a while.I think the fact that alot of this stuff is still listened to 30 years on says alot. Some of the Prog stuff is thankfully dead and buried though. Bands like Foreigner, Heart, After the Fire,Tomita,Grand Funk Railroad,Focus,Can never survived long either. Sussexboy
I remember Heart - Anne and Nancy Wilson - phwooaaarrr :( I was a big Yes fan as well. Always found Steve Howe a very interesting guitarist, and I just love Jon Anderson's vocals. Not good "sound bite" music though, you have to be prepared to sit and listen. Dark side of the moon still rocks though

Townie
I spent £1.50 of my pocket money going to see Van der Graaf Generator in 1974, which put me off nearly forever. Impression confirmed when I saw King Crimson in 1985. I've steered well clear since. Give me Slade any day.
