jon78
Hi All. As the 1st Feb is on a Sunday this year, do any of you know whether there are any rules that allow the last day of pheasant shooting to be held on the 2nd of Feb, on the Monday? Yours knowledge / views appreciated. Jon
deadeye ive
I'm under the impression 31st Of Jan is the last day of the season
Catamong
Nope, in England it's 1st Feb. I can't see any extension being given just because it falls on a Sunday, the law doesn't work that way. Cat.
Trussman
I remember in 2007 that the 12th of August was on a sunday, and as such, the grouse season started on the 13th of August. So yes, looks like the 31st.

Dave-G
Since I stand down from some places till the 2nd feb - is it reasonable to assume I can recommence at one minute past midnight?
al4x
no as pheasants are game and you can't shoot after dark you should be able to start again after dusk on the 1st
Highlander
From BASC newsletter; End of the Shooting Season This year, 1 February, which is the end of the shooting season for partridges and pheasants, falls on a Sunday. There is no extension to this, and therefore the last day for shooting partridges and pheasants is Saturday, 31 January.
