Mungler
D&Js are probably the cheapest, but hey go mad and spend an extra fiver or tenner per thousand and get something like Eley Firsts
Vince Green
My old shooting mate Ron always used to say that cheap cartridges are the most expensive cartridges you can buy. While its not always true I can see where he is coming from on that one. For many years I have been rifle shooting at Bisley and cheap rubbish old military surplus ammo always gets snapped up and yet its often not worth putting down the range. You spend a lot on your shooting, you drive miles, you risk the wrath of her indoors for being out shooting when you should be at home with her, etc etc. Don't you owe it to yourself to buy a quality cartridge? Floating Chamber
For a good deal on shotshells, try Cross Guns at Kinver. Terry has just about everything you need. Edited April 6, 2009 by Floating Chamber
Floating Chamber
There was a time when homeloading shells paid off - less than half price. If you shop carefully, and also keep your eyes on the 'Want-ads' in the various shooting magazines, you can still load for about 90 quid a 1000* * Making your own leadshot keeps down the cost, of course FC.
