humperdingle
Just trying to gauge opinion on the members' thoughts on this. I'm looking specifically for the opinions of those members who actually shoot foxes. Not just those with an opinion on the subject.
Lloyd90
I didn't vote its a bit limited! Sometimes we will sometimes we wont! depends if there causing a problem in the area. Sometimes we leave em till there older n its harder

markbivvy
More than once i have given cubs best, thinking they just might not do any damage. but they always let them self down. Its the nature of the beast.
realtreedave
as pest controlers we have a duty to control species numbers in the most humane way possible for the landowners,if that meens taking out cubs then so be it,if they outbreed the available natural food sources then those cubs will soon be dining on chicken or lamb

marlin vs
Every chance I get, no point and waiting for them to do damage, because they will.
flytie
Always, on most of the land I shoot over! Otherwise someone else would get the job and I lose my shooting. I do what the farmer wants. I have just got permission on some land to thin the deer out and have been asked to leave the foxes as the owner hunts! ft
Highlander
Yes because its the cubs that'll move into new territories left by any mature foxes you shoot. Mind you if a mature fox is holding a territory and not doing any damage then maybe leave it alone so you know the devil you're dealing with. verminer
i normally see how many cubs there are to a vixen, if there are any more than 2 cubs i will shoot them and leave 2 remaining as its easier for the vixen to support. then when the cubs are older and wiser its game on. radio1ham
well on one of the farms i shoot on a vixen has moved in and has 4 cubs and i ask the farmer if they cause any problems and he said no so they will be left alone and he has not lossed one lamb this year i seen the vixen carrying a rabbit while i was shooting but i guess there is plenty of rabbits for me and her and the cubs aswell so i guess i wouldnt shoot a cub as they seem to be doing some good clearing the land of rabbits and other vermin aswell as carrion so theyll be left alone for the time being mind you once they are older and stray on to the other farm i shoot on which has chickens im afraid they will have to be controled
