Went into my RFD yesterday & payed £12.50 a box for 17gr Winchester V-MAX & £13.50 for Hornady 20gr XTP. The last time i bought some they were £10.00 a box, am i being ripped off? Cheers, Terry. MC Posted July 2, 2009 Report Share Posted July 2, 2009 I don't believe they are all loaded by the same company, Between Remington and Hornady there is a significant difference in the smell. They must have different powder in them. They may well all be loaded under licience from Hornady but I am sure that each Company loads there own. If they are all loaded by the same company to the same spec then everyone would just by the cheapest as there would be no difference. Then they would be forced to bring the prices down. Seems to be the way the price is going other than the blue tipped hornady stuff.The place i normally get mine from the last time i was in wanted £28 a ton for hornady's and £33 for rems.
