Glenshooter
I think I tried these years ago and am left with the memory that they're not as good as you might think due to the effect of parallax in viewing the shot/clay ie you still don't know if you're behind or in front. May take someone off to the side to have a better view.

Cranfield
They may have got a lot better, but I tried some many years ago and they were disappointing. As Glenshooter says, you need a spotter, as they will see far better than you can. I had to fire mine at dusk to notice much difference. Catamong
Yes, they're a bit like snapcaps, a complete waste of money, but very good for extracting money out of gullible newbies. Cat.
Vince Green
The tracer pellet doesn't follow the same trajectory as the shot . Its bigger and much less dense.

Alycidon
As this is a Pigeon forum just be aware that the trace is a burning artical, shooting them in ripe standing cerial or stubbles is IMHO a major fire risk. Once a fire in cerials gets going you will not out run it. I have used them on pheasants many years ago, I killed birds that the trace said I was behind and missed others that the trace itself hit!!. Get the gun to fit, use big shot (5s) and speed up your swing, that take care of most of them, A
clayman
A tracer only tells you what you know already, that you are missing ( usually behind) Since you already know this and the tracer itself will not change your style or analysis, there are just going to be a waste of money. Spend your money on engaging a good instructor, learn sound technique and how to analyse a sight picture. You can shoot properly when you have the smoothness of mount and economy of motion that you can fully perceive the sight picture and alter it at will to suit the target speed and distance. Once you can do that you can adjust your shots to hit the problem targets because you yourself will know where and why you missed, without any need to light up half the county's crops. Nicky T
That's a heck of a lot of money for sone cartridges! Agree completely with the comments that suggest your money would be better spent on time with a good coach.
