Baldrick
The League Against Cruel Sports have launched an Emergency appeal to raise money for their Hunt Crimewatch Programme. They state that they require much need funds to buy video cameras, handheld global positioning systems, walkie talkies etc, etc to monitor Hunting activity. However they have made a fatal error. Donations can be sent to a FREEPOST address. This means that for each envelope they receive they will have to pick up the charge from Royal Mail. So to make your Christmas a little better would you please send an empty envelope or Christmas Card to: League Against Cruel Sports, Freepost SE 5087, London. SE1 1BR. This idea has been supported by The Countryside Alliance. Please forward this message. Slight amendment to the idea for using the LACS Freepost address. It has been suggested that it would be best to fill an envelope with old magazines that weigh a lot and send that through instead! It will cost LACS even more to pay for it, so get rid of all those old telephone directories and send them to LACS - they are so green they will probably even get them recycled. Let’s get posting. Axe
I might just add, they could well have a weight limit on the freepost service. I recently sent an item to the waterboard on a freepost, but was charged the difference as the service only catered weights pricing up to 47p. Millomite
You dont even need envelopes. Just print some labels so stick on all the junk you get from companies. Even better, get down to the paper recycling bin, take out all the junk from them and stick on a label

Ferret Master
HI, Yes that is probably right as I doubt the CA would 'openly' support such an idea. They probably would secretly like it though. FM

kip270
Just had a look at their website and can't find anything for this campaign But the address is correct apart from the freepost bit By three methods we may learn wisdom: first, by reflection, which is noblest; second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third by experience, which is the bitterest.
