  1. The government are thwarted by the civil service and the judicary who all oppose what the government want to do, and the civil right type lawyers are making a fortune using the appeal system to keep their clients in the country. You only have to look at the plane load of passengers who managed to get a person who was about to be deported removed from the flight, they thought they were standing up for the oppressed and down trodden, turns out he was a gangster involved in shoot outs in the street with no regard for anyone else.
  2. I have removed some posts, I will remind everyone that the public can see what is posted. This thread is closed.
  3. Let's wait for the inquiry report. Time to lock this one.
  4. Closing this one, let's wait for the report of what happened and not speculate. My condolances to the family of the person that lost their life.
  5. Both car and trike went through mots in the last 2 months, you get a printed piece of a4 paper showing the pass, the actual mot pass certificate is online, you can log on using your v5 and download it if you want although there is little point.
  6. They stuck migrants in Penally camp near tenby, there were protests and counter protests, the migrants complained they set fire to a bit of the camp and fought each other, the home office then moved them. The home office took over a hotel in llanelli to house migrants, there were protests from the local community who were there 24/7, eventually the owners and home office gave up. Country of sanctuary i don't think so, the labour stazi may talk of how they are all welcome, but the reality is people protest whenever they attempt to stick migrants into the community.
  7. Have had some fantastic goat curries through the years, but do not ever believe a Gurkha when they say it's not a hot curry, their hot is on a very differnt scale to yours , amazingly tender and tasty though.
  8. Really, you want to train people for 5 years to become efficient soldiers, and then let them back into society fully trained!
  9. The territorial army is now known as the reserves, do you think they would give them good wage and benefits when they don't give the regulars any of that, the reserves have been filling the spaces on operations for years.
  10. How do you train a standing army when they don't want to be trained, i think that a huge swathe of society would be very much against training for the military.
  11. Renewed the Corsa before christmas, it went from £160 to £260, the mileage we always have on it is 15,000 per year. Renewed my trike a week ago have it down for 14,000 miles a year my renewal was £3 less, then i did a silly thing and bought a 22 plate trike, same mileage, but because it wasn't cheap (twice the value of the old one) i have just payed £740 insurance. I have some friends who drive range rovers, their premiums are like a new drivers. I don't think it's mileage alone, but the cost of repair or replacement of a lot of vehicles has gone through the roof.
  12. Looks the business.
  13. Some members live in amazing parts of the country, and a day out, a weekend whatever it may be is good for the soul. Shaun4860 mentions he is staying put, but as he says he is in Northumbria a glorious place, a holiday/ break is what you make it, i have spent money on some holidays i have regretted, yet a simple long weekend with my kids and grandkids just walking on beaches and chilling round an open fire gave memories that will last forever. Life should be a glass half full.
  14. This country is amazing, two years ago we toured north Wales on the trike, and it was stunning, we have lived in South Wales most of our lives and apart from driving up to Liverpool had never really bothered with the north. Because of the dog we have been to various parts of the UK from Ben Nevis to Brighton instead of abroad, never disappointed. We are going abroad because Jake my dog is sadly no longer with me, but it gives us the flexibility to travel anywhere.
  15. It's being delivered on Wednesday, sorry to derail the topic.
  16. A few days ago booked a holiday by Bordeaux for july, today bought a new trike to ride down there.😁
  17. I don't have a clue who or how many people responded to any consultation, why would i? Have you ever thought that some may have basc lethargy on here?
  18. Just because only 10 actually post i think it unfair that you presume they are the only ones not in agreement with you, there are many that are simply just fed up and cannot be bothered to post because no ones mind will be changed. It's like brexit , the government thought they had it in the bag and the public were in agreement with them because they had done poll after poll and lots of focus groups, meanwhile the silent majority stick two fingers up to those in power who thought they had the voice of the people.
  19. Exercise in Germany halted for 12 hours because the bridge parts we were supposed to build for the tanks to cross was frozen to the ground, a very cold night in a sleeping bag then inside a body bag with a mate to try and keep warm. it was minus 26.
  20. Some posts removed, this is about the weather, please start a thread about ferrets if you want.
  21. Not the sharpest crayon in the box.
  22. If he had gone ahead under disclosure he would have to hand over all his documents, and you can bet that there was stuff there his team knew could be used against him. He tried to play poker get the judge to decide quickly or hope the newspaper caved in, unfortunately he was only good at snap not poker.
