  1. I use a Silver Pigeon III Game 28" for all my shooting without problems. I often put over a hundred through it in one day - 28g Hull Comp X for clays. There is no recoil pad on the gun, but my skeet vest is padded. Went pigeon shooting on monday and used three boxes of Hull Special Pigeon 32g again without any discomfort.
  2. Yes the Shing Sung Career is capable of over 80 ft/lbs, but you'll need very heavy pellets or they will go supersonic - at which point you might as well just use a rimmy.
  3. I agree with the Brattonsound reccomendations - thats what I went for and its a serious safe (mine is an RL7+) When the Firearms Officer came around when I applied for my SGC he took one look at it, said "oh, its a Brattonsound" and that was it - he was happy.
  4. Supersport everytime for me, a proven classic which will last a lifetime if you look after it. The safety is manually operated and I think being away from the trigger is a far safer design than next to it. They can be a bit "jumpy" in .177, but thats true of any lightweight springer.
  5. I've got the Sonic 2 ear plugs, and I'm really not very impressed with them . I find them very uncomfortable, and for clay shooting I'm not convinced they offer the greatest protection. I've bought some Peltor Sport Tacs now, much bigger and far more expensive, but for me they do an excellent job.
  6. If your resting on something then make sure you've got your hand between the rest and the gun, or it will spit them all over. I fire three shots, then alter the sights, another three then another fine tune, then you eliminate any "fliers" Check if there is any play in the jaws - hold the stock inbetween yours knees and try to move the barell side to side - if it moves it needs nipping up. Where abouts are you? I'm sure someone on here close by could zero it for you
  7. Empty shotgun cartriges make good targets, they really fly when you get them!
  8. Alfa Romeo 8C, simply stunning
  9. Not very difficult to see how it works is it
  10. Mine is the same, though I really don't know why its there. It crossed my mind it could be an arrester for the scope, but you shouldn't really need an arrester on a PCP
  11. I live quite close to Redbeck, and I agree with that, very helpful indeed Competetive prices too.
  12. The Supersport Carbine a few years ago had a muzzle weight on the end of the barrel (same as the one fitted to the Goldstar and MK2 Superstar) It shouldn't spin round though, it will have a plug in the end that can be unscrewed and BSA's silencer fitted if required.
  13. If you really want to find which pellet your gun prefers you could try on of the selection packs from Pellpax. With it being a springer you'll likely find it performs best with the lighter pellets.
  14. Webley Mosquito Express are fantastic, but very expensive. The Accupels are good, but you get covered in the graphite lube they put on them! Air Arms Field are worth a try too
  15. I bet that hits with a bloody smack doesnt it? Yeah, its great fun! My mate and I were shooting empty 12 bore carts a few weeks back, they really fly when the .25 Field Target Trophys hit home! I wouldn't have it as my only gun, but for close range vermin and fun shooting its great
  16. The .22 Bisleys will be perfect for rats
  17. They are decent little guns. I had a .177 which was a bit jumpy, but I could still drop 50 yard knockdowns with it. I've got one in .25 now and that is very smooth
  18. With this guy having such good previous reputation I'm wondering if its a hacked account? My mate had it last year, suddenly he couldn't log in - when he did a search for his username, he had about 30 mobile phones for sale! Someone had got into his account and changed all the details. I hope you get it sorted mate.
  19. If your getting a Rover K series engined car watch out for failed head gaskets and warped heads - they are notorious! Oh, and you really would have been better buying it in January you know!
  20. If your wanting to make it silky smooth I'd go for a V-Mach tuning kit. http://www.airgunbuyer.com/Showproducts.as...20Tuning%20Kits

I keep mine in an FAC cabinet. It was thin edge of the wedge though, I told my Wife responsible shooters keep their guns in a cabinet, then once I had the cabinet I could get my SGC
  22. I've just bought the Peltor Sport Tacs, very good bit of kit and far more comfy than the in-ear ones I had before. £105 inc delivery on-line which I thought was a pretty good price
  23. I agree, let it run in a bit first. I put some grease onto the mainspring on mine through the gap in the bottom of the cylinder (just take the stock off) that smoothed it up a bit. Which calibre is it?
  24. It made me smile when I read he was the only one injured
