I shoot a few fallow a year with TB. DEFRA dont wish to know. just leave them where shot is the reply i aways get. as long as im seen to be doing the right thing then im not accountable. the main area is over run with badgers but they are not in the cull area so the problem will not go away anytime soon.

It was a different scope. Send me details from rcthe cheap o e so I can check, please, thank you

dont clean every time. most rifles, once clean, need a fouling round at the start. early morning stalks dont really give the chance for the fouling shot to pull the group back in. my way, everyone is different and my target rifles are different to my fox/stalking rigs. i use a bore snake on all my rifles when i have finished with them, before i go home. clean snake, not cleaner or oils. 3 x pulls to mop the moister out of the barrel. nothing kills a gun quicker than moister and the nasty chemicals left behind from ammunition. when i get home i leave to acclimatise to the house first and then snake the bore again. for the work horses this is enough. i clean every month, last saturday, all rifles. then sunday to the range to foul im going anyway to play on the targets so no hassles.i know how many rounds i can shoot in my rifles before the group opens, its alot, so never any problem if i miss a month but i try not to. to clean. as already said. i also use the wipe out/ patch out and accelerator. bore guilds. lug mops. target rifles are cleaned every time i get home the oiled bore. then actone cleaned bore before i go out again the bolt i dry lug with graphite as i want nothing that will hold grit or dust in the chamber area that will cause wear problems. The T3xt has a new modular synthetic stock with interchangeable pistol grips, allowing you to change the grip angle to what suits. The stock has a new attachment point allowing you to add a wider the fore-end like the super varmint. also foam filled stock on the synthetic to cut down the knocking noises. but not on the ones with cheek risers The grips themselves have been redone with an asymmetrical grip pattern and shape. A new recoil pad to help with recoil. widened angular ejection port to help with single feeding rounds extra screw on top of the receiver for a picatinny rail. Steel recoil lug aluminium bolt shroud i think thats it. most of the bits swap over to the T3 as well so just a matter of time before estore beretta get them at a reasonable price.

not only will it adjust the harmonic wave to the barrel but also the FPS will go up as well., i have known a titanium mod to shoot higher then a bare barrel. you can, if using factory ammo, use a harmonic bung from limb saver to adjust the wave and tighten the group. you can also use them with home loads if your swapping between mod, brake and bare rifle to tune for the same POI.

it could have been parts of the mod thread blowing back into the lens causing the scratches. it was njc who first put his mod down range, you know what he is like with guns. more anal than most. they tried to blame him for not tightening up the mod, then a week later another friend, who took the pee out of njc, also put his down range. this time they listened as the guy knows a thing or two. swapped hos mod straight out once put back in their place. njc changed his to something else but cant remember what. the DPT's that i use are light, i use a stainless first baffle to help with gas cut. if you want to come over and we will pop over one of the farms and you can have a try with one then your more than welcome
-
i know of two sonics that have also gone down range. we now call them spudnic whats the thread tim. 14x1 or 1/2unf if its the 1/2 then you can always have a look at my dpt and see what you think

As long as you have enjoyed you day then that's all that really matters. The gamekeeper will have the guns to deal with and the under keeper will have the feed rounds to do and getting the birds in the hi We. Carts cleaned. Maybe dogin in to get the birds back to the pens. Normally its a couple hours left to do after the beaters have gone. I'm normally the last off the shoot by about 2 hours. Long days, so don't worry to much on the grumpy ones, we all get like it when the shoot captain gives it out.

Have you a scratch screen on the n7. Had to take it off mine as it caused problems. Also I find I can't put it flat and just use one digit to scroll. I have to be touching the edge as well. In other words hold it to use. My lads works just fine though.

Is a deer classed as Unfit once stomach pierced
activeviii replied to lloydi73's topic in General Shooting Matters
Even if it's gut shot you can still salvage some of the meat for own use. The ba k legs. Top straps even the front legs. If the green or urine has torched the meat then the deal with not take it. It will show up on the carcuss. If you popped the stomach out side the cavity and the green had not got in side then with a clean knife, trim the belly out, tell the dealer and then its up to him. Carry a pack of kitchen worktop wipes in your ghalloching pack would have saved the problem but how much more must one carry -
So are there common faults with the x-trail mk2 I know the ones on the cr-v but not the x-trail
-
im going to try and get a late 2007 or newer (mk3) x-trail if i can. it will be auto so petrol. had i look at a couple today of all 3 styles and the mk3 was the better for me. only thing that put me off the km2 was the clocks in the middle of the dash. very strange place for them lol
-
that would have been nice but no, MK2 as well. 0.08-0.010 and 0.010-0.012 if i remember correctly.
-
Thanks for that 7. I think they are much the much so pay the money and take a chance. I'm just going to go look at the x-trail for size.
-
not a problem Penelope. I have a bit more height on me the that. I did try to get in but was to tight for me. I have the cr-v and the rav next to each other and the cr-v was hard to pull my leg up over and in but the rav I just couldn't get the left leg in.
-
Im an average height in the tall community, i could drive the rav from the back seats. i wanted one at like the toyota but its built for the jap market where the average height is knee high to a grass hopper. i have a cr-v on the drive at the moment but theres a few issues with it that im not happy with so the dealer is having it back. size wise i fit. 28mpg is the average combined i get from it. is there any common niggles with the x-trail. i have found an auto a little distance away but before i go look i like to do my homework so i can rule out the bad from the worn.
-
I did look at one but to small in the drivers seat. I couldn't get behind the wheel.

Looking at theses two. Needs auto gear box. Not major money. Upto 5k They are both about the same on everything but road fund. what and why to go for. Open to other reliable motor ideas to.
-
Just about to reject one. To many little faults. 3 main problems with them. Tappets, drive shaft and rear diff. All common faults. Only the drive shaft being the expensive fix. At about 40 mph it feels like your driving over rumble strips. Other thani would have another.

I don't like camo on the shoot. Best if the guns can see the beaters. Yes, the rule is no ground game and if there's no sky then you let it fly but, in the thick of it there is always one that thinks he knows best. He will get the boot but that dose not help the beater that's wearing camo and not seen. If I could get away with it then all the beaters would have either bright arm bands or a bright hat but I can't as the shoot captain it the boss. Try not to over dress as you will be stripping of halfway down the first drive and then its tied around the waist only to get caught up on brambles and trees. Something thorn proof is good and get it over the top of your boots/wellies to stop bits getting in. Old stick that you don't mind taking to the thickets or brambles. You need to beat your line. The sticks not for leaning on. Listen to the beat captain. Enjoy Get fit for next time as they will put the rookie on the hard lines and long walks lol.

I don't want to sound rude but your shooting a cz that was made in mass and tolerances are measured with fingernails. Load, adjust powder till you have submitted inch and get out and enjoy. Nothing wrong with CZ what so ever but you might be chasing something that's not possible and wasting your time

Inside Neck chamfer tool just to nick the crimp. I use the Wilson double ended tool

Plenty around Colin. Nah, that's a lie. Lol. I only use Dauntsey. I think above has answered the question. Your only just up the road from us, shame you haven't got the time else I would have dragged you over for a fallow stalk.

What sort of land do you have for your centrefire?
activeviii replied to Camerooon86's topic in General Shooting Matters
I think it's been answered above fairly well but it really is down to need, proof and sometimes the guy checking the ground. For instance 300 acre farm and for love, nor money, could I get a 222 allowed on it, but a 10 acre paddock I was granted a 6.5x55. ok, the guy knew the area and we talked it though on the phone and I asked it for highseat only as there was foot paths and only really one angle to get a shot down. This was agreed and at the same time was thought I knew what I was doing so unrestricted my ticket at the same time so was neither here or their on it in the end. I also know of a flat patch of land, only 20 acres with m5 motor way running level alongside it. I use to shoot the foxes there and now a mate has his first rifle granted on this land. I think, if you do your homework and know the land, then put yourself in good light with who ever is checking the land and show you know what your talking about, with out being pushy, then most land can be cleared to the satisfaction of both parties. -

Try speaking the Linda Eckford. Phone her. Explain your problems and ask what you need to do to resolve the hold ups. She is a nice, approachable lady and when I had a problem with Les Spice and his hoops she had a word in his bonnet and things came easier. I also told them I didn't know you or shoot with you so I think that helped even more
