  1. that's where i left the wooden spoon
  2. Yes Tim, all the same as section 1. Buy, hold what you want and how you want. No f2f or RFD needed. But only as loose components. Once seated in the case it's then goes towards your written allowance.
  3. you'll be surprised at to what you might find. it takes time, alot of it, and effort but the rewards can be there. i use to fish a small stream just like that one. chub, roach, dace, perch, brownies, eels, stickleback, minnows. all there. people use to laugh at me for fishing but once i got my head around it i had plenty a good day.
  4. Local police station. You both have FAC so it's in their interest to see you show a safe transfer
  5. Plastic fish slice. We keep these on the worktop as it happens all to often. The wife swear she's not still buying utensils but there a bit to shiney to be in there a long while. Bit like my guns I guess so can't say much
  6. I seam to remember there was a rape grown a few years back the the pigeons would not get on, they seam dislike it, down side was the oil yields was no better than the rape that the pigeons had hit in the past so don't now what happened to it. As for pigeon numbers in areas. Few years back i had 3 fields that was an experiment, it was spring wheat put in in autumn, how ever, it went leggy and fell over right from the get go. Every Pigeon in the area hit it as if it was their last meal, for a lot of birds t was their last meal. We shot every 3rd day with 200+ every time for 10 weeks. Because it laid it didn't dry as quick so took longer to dry. Good time hay, no! not really, ever since that year we never get bag on that area. Before the wheat we would have good as there, peas always shot well, as did and pop hole in cereal. I personally think, after that year, we had shot so many pigeons that we out shot the area and the pigeons still haven't recovered to the numbers they use to be. Basiccly shot out as we say. Even the drilling this year and. Have seen no birds on it. So bad years to?Low the good years are. You thoughts
  7. saves the smallest amount of weight. helps cool barrel a tiny bit. helps empty your wallet a lot. looks cool, well, i think is does. Tikka all the way.
  8. just looked and i must have deleted it. basically the primer in a cz .222 was hanging out the back end of the case by a long way. new winchester brass. any bullet. below a start load. if i tried to get up to mid way on the charge the primer was flowing over the head stamp. it was a rebarrel and came with the proof house stamps.
  9. because s+b primer pockets are shallower than other brass and the larger primer cup of the rifle primer is being rolled on the shoulder into the pocket, once you fire the round the primer wants to straighten back out and it stays out. with the shallower and softer small pistol primer it has room to move with out coming out of the pocket. flattened out primers are not the olny sign of over pressure. some primers are harder with thicker cup walls so you need to understand more of pressure signs. plenty articals out there on the net to show other and more reliable tells. i'll see if i can find a photo of an issue i have just had with a rifle.
  10. I use them when subsonic loading the 308. just gives me a better flash over with lower powered amounts.
  11. put a staple in so it bridges the cut ends and then hammer so its in-bedded in the belting. just adds a little more mechanical strenght
  12. theres butchers, and theres butchers. Redgum is a butcher
  13. reduce the powder and use pistol primers, there a little shallower but burn a little hotter.
  14. Thank you.bought and on way.

  20. Anybody know where or what i can replace this with please. its out of my bench grinder and it burnt out a few years ago. i use to just spin the grinder and turn it on, always worked fine but i think i really need to replace the capacitor. any help would be good ta muchly all the best Phil
  21. Question. How many new rifles, with screw cuts, have the barrel stamp at the screw cut. I know none of mine ever have. Answer to who can cut. Richard Pope is close to you.
  22. Don't test your barrel on anything. It will screw up your poi. Rest the forensic on the rail and your elbow of butt of stock on side rail or back of seat depending on the size of seat. It's like the ones i see shooting off sticks and the hold the barrel down with their finger. Any interference with the barrel will shift where your bullets going
  23. if you go on their web site or to propellants uk, ask in an email with all your rifle and cartridge details, they will happly send you the information from QL. i use the powders in a couple rifles, bit sooty and dont meter very well but using the single base powder, i still get good performances.
  24. http://www.cip-bobp.org/homologation/uploads/tdcc/tab-i/tabical-en-page86.pdf http://www.cip-bobp.org/homologation/uploads/tdcc/tab-i/tabical-en-page88.pdf CIP spec. Gives chamber minimum and cartridge maximum. As long as your lap is below the max cartridge then your fine. For varminting then no great worries is there a thou here and there under the max. For bench me target, keep them all the same
