  2. My 21 year old pays £25.00 pays per week. Everything all in ie gas, food, electric, sky etc. She pays for her own petrol and phone. She is supposed to help with the chores but never does. 19 year old got his first job about 12 weeks ago( take home £150 per week), he decided to leave home as he thought paying £25 per week all in was too much. i miss him but i can now leave beer in the fridge, theres still food in the cupboard and general household costs are down by £50 per week.

don't know about who comes on top, both are good but coming from behind is better
  4. My nine month old black lab v's all the other dogs that he went for at gundog training yesterday afternoon. Boxing- Sugar Ray Leonard v Roberto Duran in the eighties, brutal and an out and slug fest. Draw i belive. In the rematch Ray Leonard give Duran a lesson in boxing, out classed hard man Duran to the extent that he gave up out of pure frustration

Didn't see the joke first time around but you've cheered me up no end
  6. Interesting reading guys. The only option that i have is to try to get the child benefit paid to me or ask the ex to drop the case. Some hope. As said before what a sick society we live in. If the child benefit is paid to me then i can set the csa on her. I recieved the csa forms in the post less than 12 hours after they contaced me by phone. The staggering thing is that i only have to supply information about my gross income they are not interested in my current outgoings. They're not interested in how i and my family will be able to afford to live. The normal rate that they will claim is 15% of gross income. As custody is shared they will claim 7.5%. I already provide well above the 15% threshold for my daughter, so they want another 7.5% on top of that. Does the ex provide a percentage of her salary, probably not. She gets the child benefit plus child tax credits for my daughter. Just spoke to my solicitor. On divorce we signed the consent order and financial agreements, signed by the judge. Because of this i believed that i was protected from future claims. This is not the case and the csa can be involved at any time until my daughter is 16 years old or 18 years if still in full time education. Be warned never trust your ex to do the right thing. Once a greedy **** always a greedy lying T**t
  7. What a corrupt society we live in. Have been divorced for 2 years and my daughter lives with me for over 50% of the time. Today i get a call from the CSA demanding information as my ex had made a claim against me. I pay for my childs clothing, food etc and take her on holiday(something the ex never does). I was never worried as i pay my way and have official 50% joint custody. But as i have been informed this afternoon the parent who recieves the 'child benefit' can make a claim against the other regardless if they already contribute or not. When we split i allowed the ex to have the child benfit sent to her as i earned more than her. Shambolic. Be aware boys, don't let it happen to you
  8. What does Goose taste like? Never tried it, it's difficult to purchase a bird for £80 when we may not even like it.
  9. Can,t limit it to three and three that I may chose today may not be my choice tomorrow. However three that come to mind 1. Shawshank Redemption 2. Name of the rose 3. Green mile 4. Deepthro

    Do You Care

I am by no means a purist and agree with you that the taste is the same with screw tops, i still like to use the corkscrew, but thats probably just nostalgia. I don't get the plastic bottle thing, i'm sure i read something about plastic altering the taste of the wine but i may be wrong. Can't complain as i've just bagged 12 bottles of Hardys Bin 53 Chardonnay for £35.00 from Makro
  13. I think you'll be fine mate. As stated, i always find that pheasant always smells, even with newly shot birds. As for the colour, my ex-father in law didn't eat them until the meat tuned green after hanging for up to a month. He was fine, right up the point that he died from food poisoning
  14. Radio- Radio 5 live or Radio 2. C/D- Stranglers/Green Day/Thin Lizzy/Any 70's,80's or 90's punk/new wave compilations. Being my age the only place where i now can listen to my CD's is in the car
  15. Oh dear, not good news for me as going up to Pitlochry at the weekend. Was hoping to get some decent trout fishing in, so had better pack the thermals.

    tomatoes

I had loads of green ones left too but got advised to place ripe bananas at the base to help them ripen off. Must admit this worked very well as most riped very quickly.

    Lunatic Canine

Does the moon have an effect on a dog's behavior? My three year old springer has short periods of strange behavior. This normally good tempered dog becomes aggressive, whines for attention and stops eating. We have noticed for the past six months that this change in personality only occurs two days before a full moon and stops the day after the moon is at it's fullest. Last week he went for the TV because a dog was on the screen. I,ve heard about lunatics and the like but surely this is mumbo jumbo. Isn't it?
  18. Sorry but who really cares. Just another show trial for the good old u/s public. Pathetic
  19. My girlfriend complained that my facial hair and stubble were making her skin sore. When i saw the mess that her thighs were in i knew that i couldn't be that selfish, so i now shave everyday
  20. Oh dear, i must be the PW wino. I drink everyday, either a couple of beers(cans or homebrew)or half a bottle of wine shared with my girlfriend. Sometimes our consumption may be higher. We can't afford to regularly go to bars/pubs so drink at home by ourselves or with friends. I would also say that i probably consume significantly less now than a few years ago. Most people in my social circle or work collegues drink as much as i do so it's always been viewed as 'normal'.

    Gout

I can totally sympathise with you, i had an attack about 2 months ago, the pain was unbelievable. The only thing that worked for me was to take diclofenac sodium 50mg following a visit to my GP. No further episodes since and i don't take the medication but always keep some with me just in case. As previous posters have said it is a form of arthritis, a build up of ureic acid crystals forming in the joints- particularly around the big toe. The most suprising thing for me was that i always associated gout with drinking lots of red wine and port but to find that drinking beer, being overweight and consuming shellfish were major contributing factors came as a shock. I lost a little weight but could not bear the thought of cutting out alcholol and sea food so what will be will be.

    RIP REM

Were they ever really on the boil? A few class songs but too many substandard albums for my liking.
