  1. Good luck to them, but don,t see why they felt the need to advertise the fact they had won.
  2. Let him go. He'll thank you for showing him trust and he's been through a lot and deserves to be given a degree of freedom. I understand your concerns as i've got two kids of a similar age but you have to allow them to develop
  3. Outstanding, somewhat cruel but very funny all the same, 'miss piggy', is my favourite
  4. I introduced my new partner to both my hobbies of shooting and flyfishing after she had hastled me to take her. I took her fishing and on the clays hoping that she would go once and that would be it. No such luck as she loves it and wants to go everytime. Game over i thought, but not quite. The consolation is that she has some pastimes that we do together but arn't for discussion on this forum.
  5. If i didn't get the other half a birthday card and present it would be the end of the world for me. Therefore i would edge my bets and get her one to be on the safe side.
  6. Good shooting mate. Hope my 12 week old lab ends up looking as good as yours.
  7. darkies? is that legal jargon?
  8. Quality fish there mate. Were you fishing the buzzers under an indicator?

    Aid to India

Having just just returned from a 3 week holiday in India and witnessed the hell of the Deli slums and the abject wealth of the fortune few i cannot believe that we are giving them any aid at all. They have so much wealth but are not distributing to their own people so why should we support the Indian government when they are not supporting their own people
  10. This country is seriously screwed. We,re too soft, ****** know that the police don,t have the back up from the politicians, so they do exactly what they want because they know nothing will happen if they get caught. Seriously wrong but true.
  11. Yes mate. The project hopefully will make a proper gundog and not just a pet. He's very headstrong but is just starting to learn the basic commands. You been out shooting much?

  12. yes daz it's me. how you getting on

  13. Hi. Does anyone know if there are any decent Labrador training DVD's. My lab is 8 weeks old. Even at this 'tender'age he is strong willed and has started to mark his territory and feel that we need some assistance. We already two older dogs, a lab and a springer but the little one is trying to dominate. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Hopefully i will be able to unlift a photo of the little 'angel' Thank you if you can help. Tim

    Cats & birds

Tiddles eats his yummy 'Whiskers' pedigree cat food, goes outside and ***** all over the garden, then slaughters birds and small mammals for pleasure. i hate cats.
  15. Keep trying mate. I stopped on 16th September last year, cut right down from 20-40 cigs per day to nil. As other posters have said it's not easy but the benefits to your health are well worth it. Try not to be selfish, think about the effects of your illness/death will have on the people around you. That's what worked for me this time. I have very strong cravings occasionally but feel relieved afterwards that i didn't give in. I feel much better as my lung capacity is improving, i have some permenant damage, COPD, but it's never too late to stop. Good luck

    Best Comedies

I've recently been bought the complete 'Father Ted' series box set. I didn't actually view it on TV and cannot believe that i missed something so funny for so long. It's rude and very entertaining. I was wondering what other members favourite comedies are?
  17. Not sure if this is an age thing or not. A friend a couple of weeks ago came home after a late shift and climbed into bed with his wife. He started to become amorous and suggested that they make love. He was quickly brought to his senses when he was punched in the face by his mother whom he had forgotten was staying over for a few days.
  18. Hey Mike, i am so relieved that you were wrong about Bruce Parry, top bloke. He is definately in my list. Others would be- Lee Harvey Oswald(Did he really pull the trigger), Pete Postlewaite, Phil Lynott and Kelly Brooke
  19. Good luck mate. I admire your attitude
  20. Think long and hard before you take action. Don't make a rash decision because you're fed up now. Do you know enough about the field that you intend to work in? Will you be able to bulid up and sustain a reliable customer base? Research the business first, speak with potential competitors, then decide. Good luck with whatever you decide to do

    Home Brewing

Following last weeks 'Real Ale' post, I was wondering if any PW members brewed their own ale. 'Breweing' now seems to be a popular hobby for people living around me. I am thinking of trying it and any advice offered would be appreciated.
