That was my first thought too

What a lot of rather stupid remainers believe is that a second vote (with a loaded question of their choice?) would negate the first vote and just press delete on what had gone before so we would wake up the next morning thinking it had all been a dream is just not going to happen.

There is no deal, there never was. The deal they are proposing is "drop your trousers, bend over and hand me the jar of Vaseline when I ask for it"

Brexit is about the realisation that the EU is a busted flush. Its broken beyond repair and can never turn itself around. What else can we do but start to disengage? A magnificent concept, so much potential that has never come to fruition. Brought down by complacency and self interest. The member countries never embraced the concept of a community. All they ever saw was a cash cow to be milked and too much of the money they were milking was what we were paying in. You can only stand that sort of mistreatment for so long before you have to admit to yourself this is never going to get better

YES! that's EXACTLY what it had on the ballot paper. And Cameron made no bones about trying to frighten us by saying as much. Brexit deniers are like the Holocaust deniers were in Germany in the 1960s, frantically trying to rewrite history

At least in Wales they put the Welsh name second on the street signs, In Scotland they put the Celtic name first so when approaching a roundabout and trying to scan through about fifteen Celtic names while braking down and dealing with the idiot behind you trying to race with you, its more confusing and potentially more dangerous. Also my Cousin who lives north of Aberdeen tells me that the street signs are in the wrong language anyway. They spoke a different language up there.

That's sad, no age either poor man

Yep! they have introduced rationing already

Big family BBQ on Saturday so we said we would buy the food. Went to Lidl today to buy the meat etc . Only to be told when we got to the checkout you can't buy all this stuff. You can only buy max 6 of any individual item. So six packets of burgers, six packets of bread rolls, six steaks, six bottles of any beer etc. I have never heard of such a thing, oh yes its company policy was the reply Anybody else heard of this ?

That question is what they call a snowball, it has no relevance to the discussion.

When I lived up in Hertfordshire the deer would come onto the back roads at night in the winter for the warmth but that was known about and we were prepared for it

If Ireland has a problem with the border they can build one, nobody is stopping them. Not our problem. But lets just step back for a moment and look at the issue The idea that a product from outside the EU, lets say Australian lamb, could be landed in Britain, then shipped to Northern Ireland, driven from the North to the South and re-exported into mainland Europe to avoid paying EU import duty is ridiculous. The cost of doing it would be far greater than the duty they would avoid paying. Its a tactical objection nothing more

Just to be pedantic in the extreme. Britain is not a democracy and never has been, we have a Constitutional Monarchy. If the queen is asked to suspend parliament and she agrees its job done. Its Ironic that the ones bleating about (so called) democracy are the ones plotting to try and hijack parliament, The referendum was the closest thing we had to democracy and these muppets don't want to abide by it.

Depends how much room you have in the freezer

I can speak a teeny bit of Welsh because I helped a family member do a GCSE in Welsh. Its becoming more necessary to have it if you want to get a lot of jobs like teacher or nurse once you cross the border. That's the same as between North and South England

Technically as Welsh is an ancient language there shouldn't be a genuinely Welsh term for light switch. As you are probably aware, what the Welsh do in these situations is basically make one up Its probably a flicky clicky or something similar.

Centrefire Shooting Range/s in South Wales
Vince Green replied to steve_b_wales's topic in General Shooting Matters
No range that I know of will allow you on to do one off , their insurance would not allow it. But why would you want to? The big advantage of joining a club is networking -
The question of lead shot is just another stick to beat us with. For twenty odd years we as a club used to hire a clay layout from a farmer in Cupid Green in Hertfordshire one Sunday a month. The layout was used by other clubs the rest of the time, and during the week so it was booked practically every day. We alone contributed about a ton of lead a year onto his fields and so it would be a very low estimate to say twenty tons a year went down every year for over twenty years. His dairy herd grazed those same fields during that time every day. He used to complain the Milk Marketing Board were always on his case, testing his milk for lead. It was a very strained relationship but in twenty years the MMB never found a trace of lead in the milk

Parliament voted against the deal three times, let us not forget that fact. Now a bunch of political misfits think that if they can band together in sufficient numbers they can bring down parliament. Maybe they can - who knows? But if they succeed what are we all going to wake up to the following morning? Anarchy that's what, its not going to just go away like a bad dream

The A303 must be the worst road in the country for getting stuck behind slow moving cars

There used to be about 80 shooters in our club all competing in leagues. Some of the leagues we would have three or four teams competing ie A team ,B team etc. Its all gone now and so has the club. Many of the clubs we used to shoot against have gone too

That's down to personal choices what you choose to eat is entirely up to you. But I agree in the US junk food is everywhere and cleverly marketed. We are not that far behind though, walk round any supermarket with your 'healthy' hat on and you soon realise most of our food is carp too.
-
US food is definitely the pits with regard to added sugar, no doubt about that. Cereals, fruit juice, cakes etc are loaded with sugar. And the range and selection of fruit and veg in places like Walmart is pathetic compared to here. However, a lot of the food in EU is not that brilliant either. We in GB have the best selection and part of that is because we still import from former colonies like Kenya and the Carribean .

Now its all over I can tell you a bit more of the back story. It turns out the company in question do a lot of work for Bristol Social Services and after taking the booking for my son another job came in from Social Services for that day. Why that meant the price had to go up by £600 is still unexplained

Coming back from Yorkshire yesterday on the M1 we ran into a hold up, almost immediately idiots started going down the hard shoulder.
