My cousin and her husband live in an off grid croft right on the north coast of Scotland and when I say its bleak I mean bleak. But they like it, wouldn't suit me.

Orkney, Shetland and Northern Scotland have loads of viking settlements. Beats me how anyone could rock up on a boat, look round and think "Mmmm this is nice, think we will stay here..." But they could stay safely because their settlement there would be unopposed by other, tougher, vikings.
  3. Yes exactly but these ones are grey not green like the last ones

You wouldn't want to live there. Nice idea in principal but the reality is grim
  5. Peter Green every time. Now let's find out how many people know who I'm talking about ?
  6. £24 .99 saw them this morning. When they are gone they are gone. About 8 in the bin in St Austell Lidl
  7. It absolutely would be in America. Depending on which State you are in and what your skin colour was
  8. If he's anything like the deliveroo drivers over here he probably drove off because his driving paperwork wasn't in order and he didn't want to get caught It's endemic over here, its so expensive to get insurance that allows you to legally deliver food it wouldnt be worth doing the job. Not for what they get per delivery
  9. Thames Water covers London and surrounding areas. The clue is in the name A huge number of new blocks of flats going up all over London. Much more demand for water, much more sewage being produced. Any more reservoirs being built? Er no Any more sewage works? Er no again Thames Water is owned by a German company so I guess they don't really care about poop being dumped in.our river. You can be sure it wouldn't happen in Germany. Our boiler keeps shutting off because the water pressure has gone right down. That's not a fault its a safety feature built into the boiler to protect it.
  10. Some people are attracted to the suggestion that it is risky
  11. In reality SGC applicants have been asked for details of permissions and club memberships for a long time now. The two systems have been merging . This is how its done. Gently gently move the goalposts This is not government policy. It's the work of the faceless civil Servants that write the guidelines
  12. It is supposed to have happened in the doorway of a meeting room at no 10 as they were both walking out from a meeting. So in plain sight She said he touched her breast, she didn't say he grabbed it. Like bumped shoulders maybe? He was 36 at the time and she was 51. It all sounds fishy to me?
  13. so a strong contender to be the next London Mayor has had to stand down after a very hard to believe allegation that he touched a female journalist's breast while walking out of a Downing Street meeting in full public view in the middle of the day she hasn't made any complaint till this week Tactical misconduct claims against Conservative ministers and other prominent figures are becoming an epidemic and ruining careers Is this a coincidence ? He has had no history of this sort thing before or after. It wasn't somethithat happened after a night in a bar or a club. so now a goolllndidate for mayor has been eliminated
  14. All those people and such inadequate toilet facilities I'm amazed they are allowed to get away with it in this day and age
  15. I thought Rick Astley was good, he didn't try to be something he wasn't. Just got on and did it. Cat Stevens too, seemed confident, still got a good voice. Debbie Harry should have stayed home. Royal Blood was total rubbish Texas still able to sound the same Foo Fighters didn't do it for me. But the number of bands/artists that can dominate a stage that big and work that crowd is diminishing year on year
  16. I thought Elton was good Debbie Harry / Blondie. Now that really was just plain embarrassing to watch Interestingly I thought Foo Fighters was mediocre at best

Prigo is nobody to be underestimated He is more hardline than the officials he is criticising and will escalate the war massively if he gets his way. Moving to open a new front in Belarus a week after Putin moved nuclear weapons to Belarus last week sounds like very bad news to me. It was Prigo that orchestrated the sabotaging of the 2016 US Elections He is no here today gone tomorrow bit player
  18. None, Holland has no state health care at all, it's all privately run but you have to belong to an insurance scheme by law. Ireland it's about 25 euros to see a GP and about 75 euros to attend A&E
  19. Well mine for one. Every time I try to get an appointment all I get told is there are no appointments but a doctor will phone you.

It's all about money. Everything in Russia is about money and power.
  23. This ^^^ We rent out two flats in Truro to Doctors from Royal Cornwall Hospital. I see their proof of income when they do the credit checks

You have to admit he is probably the only person with the resources to unseat Putin. Which makes him a very interesting player Putin should be very worried because he appears to be publicly calling Putin out as a liar. This is the point when the dog turns on its master. He can only have one reason for doing that
