My cousin and her husband live in an off grid croft right on the north coast of Scotland and when I say its bleak I mean bleak. But they like it, wouldn't suit me.

Orkney, Shetland and Northern Scotland have loads of viking settlements. Beats me how anyone could rock up on a boat, look round and think "Mmmm this is nice, think we will stay here..." But they could stay safely because their settlement there would be unopposed by other, tougher, vikings.

Any more reservoirs being built? Er no Any more sewage works? Er no again Thames Water is owned by a German company so I guess they don't really care about poop being dumped in.our river. You can be sure it wouldn't happen in Germany. Our boiler keeps shutting off because the water pressure has gone right down. That's not a fault its a safety feature built into the boiler to protect it.
