  1. nearly spat my coffee when i read this one.
  2. forgot to add saddlery and gunroom are doing teague mobile chokes for £22.50 each.
  3. as far as i am aware beretta victory chokes are 'extended' mobile chokes. you will need standard beretta mobile chokes if you want flush fitting. as stated before the flush mobile chokes are around 50mm. long, with the thread at the end. if you measure your victory chokes from the bottom to top of the thread this should be 50mm. as a check to confirm that you are buying the correct chokes. unless you already have one to fit the victory chokes you will need a key as well to tighten the mobile chokes.
  4. will have to give him a try, looked at them last week but you know what its like when they seem too cheap. good to know he gets your recomendation
  5. can you update post to let us know how well it worked. just got a sx3 and it does look a bit interesting to clean compared to the beretta.
  6. i wont be making a trip there then. like i said i've not used them but one of my mates pops in if going past for cartridges, at better prices than the local rfd's its all relative i suppose, if you try the local rfd to me you'd know what miserable was. i normally travel 20 miles each way rather than the 1 to the local one
  7. would think this is a good recomendation, as its designed not to be too agressive to o rings etc in carbs.
  8. one of my mates uses essex gun if he is around that area. you get good prices on lower quantities from them. everything is sold at 1000 rate even if you buy 25
  9. as far as i am aware air bags are currently not part of mot.
  10. my misses knows what this is like. she's had to do this a few times when i've had a half day off.
  11. like my 303, very nice gun for the money and spent most of its life in my mates cabinet so in very good nick. some do look a bit tired though. uses mobile chokes if you want to change them, i think some of the later 302's use these as well. cycles 28g clay loads fine couple of the youngsters at the clay club have a 301 or 302 with the old type chokes and it seems a pretty similar gun, also never seen it jam or miss feed in the year i've been going. think you'll find they are all chambered for 2 3/4 inch carts. but someone will be abe to confirm this. if you look around you will probably find a 391 for a little more which are 3" chambered and a bit lighter on the recoil.
  12. 37 ex 50 at local club this morning. pretty pleased with that to be honest. was peeing with rain and freezing cold hands. was doing ok till the 300mph rabbit stand they have, only managed a 2 ex 8 on that one. first time out with the flanigun today, which was nice (after a bit of safety on on first stand ) high gun was a 41 and my neighbour who is cpsa a grade shot 38 to give you an idea of how difficult it was. not too bad seing as i only started clays last december. hadn't tried shotgun's or clays before then.
  13. last one i'm allowed in the forseable future though. very pleased with the gun, had a good morning on clays with it today, even though it was freezing cold and peeing down. been a bit lucky with bits coming up for sale lately. loved the looks of the flanigun when i first saw one on the clay ground, no mistaking what it it. all credit to stumacher, gun is in fantastic condition, will make sure it stays that way.
  14. many thanks stumacher. very pleased with it and as described like new. cant wait to give it a go on the clays tomorrow. my signature is now complete DEFINATELY NO MORE GUNS...............for a while.
  15. not tried it but i would like to go and see some to see if its appealing. it does look like fun, have watched a few of neils youtube vids. must get off my backside and find somewhere localish that does it and go along.
  16. took it out on the clays last sunday. i think the pistol grip suits the pump better than the comfortec stock. it seems to make you pull the gun into your shoulder and seems to move less when pumping it...................bit like the misses after 22 years didn't really notice much difference in recoil BUT i only shot a round of 50 using 28 gram clay load. as far as i know no comfortec pistol grip available, but it does have a rubber pistol grip cover, feels ok. my neighbour (A grade cpsa shooter) tried it and he like it better with the pistol grip. he thought the same as me about it pulling into shoulder better and pumping.
  17. i would say xbox for online gaming, although ps3 online is free.
  18. .......................but does it have a pistol grip ?
  19. VP90 for me. why spend all that money on your guns and scrimp a couple of quid to protect them
  20. yep. small plastic ones you just fit to the ned of the barrel. not suitable for rimfire, but ok for fac air rifle. they are a great bit of kit, can buy direct from combro for £40. worth it for the peace of mind, knowing you air rifle is not generating illegal power, and knowing it is running near the legal limit, use mine regularly to keep an eye on the airgun.
  21. you can with the mk4, cant comment on the earlier ones. after you've shot through it you can read fps or ft-lb for the shot. if you have a mk4 you hold the top button (reset) for about 14 seconds and then can set pellet weight and a few other things.
  22. or even easier................buy a combro for around £40. in my opinion a must have if you have a non fac air rifle. bought my rapid second hand and it was doing nearly 14 ft-lb when i checked it. probably not much chance of having it checked by police, but would hate to think what would have happened if it was while it was at illegal power. the fact that it was bought like it would be no excuse, and to be honest for 2 ft-lb not worth the risk.
  23. if its anything like trying to get a stock for a benelli...................bloody expensive. might be worth trying www.brignoliarmi.com. a few people on here recomend them for beretta parts.
  24. cylinder is cylinder bore. improved cylinder is 1/4 choke. the quarter choke will throw a slightly tighter pattern. with my semi's i normally use the 1/4 (improved cylinder) for just about everything.
