  1. Well done, sounds like a great bit of action. Have been a wildfowler all my life, and have never shot a pintail, a duck that is rare around here. A friend of mine from Cumbria shoots a lot of them. Bill

  4. Many Thanks I have seen all the decoys on e-bay. These are very dark, and not like our grey geese. I have a number of flock coated of Avery GHG decoys, flock coated and done as pinkfoot decoys, I purchased from a Fife goose guide, was trying to find out where they came from. Thanks. Bill
  5. Doe's anyone know where I can purchase (In This Country ) Flock Coated Avery GHG Full Bodied Goose Decoys , Not Canada type. Bill
  6. I know this is a longshot, but I wonder if anyone can help me in my search for Scottish Motorcycle Racing Programmes, for the years 1965 -- 1978, for races at East Fortune, Siloth, Beverage Park, to name a few , Any condition, anything considered. Will pay good prices. Bill
  7. Outstanding photographs thanks for sharing. Bill
  8. Yes a Tolley 8, out of all the fowling pieces I own this is my favourite .Not sure whether to let the family fight over it when I'm gone, or take it in the box with me ! Lol. The granddaughter really enjoyed the flight, but her interest is in training dogs which I am encouraging . Bill
  9. Wow ! who needs geese with a view like that. Great picture. Bill
  10. Great photographs, Always nice to see the next generation coming on. If he did not keep it for the taxidermist, I hope he plucked, and ate it. Bill
  11. Dried builders sand worked best for me, but being so fine it has to be well sealed at the filling hole, but it has the advantage of filling every corner. Being heavy is also an advantage. I tried wheat, but not handy if it gets wet. Bill
  12. I found game cartridges were not worth loading, if trying to save money, but when loading wildfowling cartridges 3", 3.5" and big bore cartridges, you can save a lot. Bill
  13. Aye Craig, There is no place I can Hide !. Lol Bill
  14. Lol Jim, The Picture Was Taken Early In The Evening, And The Flash Makes It Look Darker, When The Flight Started, I Finished With Three Pinks. Hope You Are Well Jim Regards Bill

  17. A friend phoned me just before christmas he had picked up 100 Eley 8-bore cartridges would I want to buy them, which I jumped at, but when I collected them 25 of the cartridges were 10-bore Eley Gastight 2.7/8th cartridges. I dont have a 10-bore if they are of any interest to you, but they were loose , and are not boxed. Bill
  18. Great pictures, lovely looking pike, well caught. Bill
  19. I recently purchased one, and it was a bit of a novelty, but I found it did not show on the target very clear when at ranges like 100yds, and I was not impressed, I have to admit it was a bit cheaper on e-bay, than the prices I see them advertised in Bushware catalogue. My rifle has interchangeable barrels, and when changing over to 223 to start on my roe does, I did not buy a .223 bore sighter, purchased a set of Nikko Stirling " Scope Alignment Device" , set up the new barrel with 4 bullets as it set it up near spot on, and it does every calibre from .177 up to .50 cal. Laser Bore Sighter for 25.06 for sale ! LOL. Bill While I was typing up, you added for a shotgun, so my post is not relevant . Bill

    Thomas Wild

I have been searching the internet since my balls-up !, and it does seem that Thomas Wild trade labels are very scarce. There are a lot of people trying to find them, if the lad that sells the repro labels gets one to copy, he is laughing all the way to the bank !. Bill
  21. Well Done, better removed, if you have problems with them, they are not hard to trap with a cage trap baited with half a rabbit or a partridge. Bill
  22. Get a bolt action ! . Tried them all, Always thought ammo manufacturers should give auto's out free if you buy their ammo ! Lol. Bill
