  1. There are various types but most require replacing the spindles...otherwise they just tap the spindle through and he handle drops out http://www.safeandvaultcompany.co.uk/product/patlock-patio-french-door-security-lock/ saw aw some new ones recently can’t find the link, there are some from £20, standard cylinders are easily beaten so anything you can do to improve the security the better...
  2. Could be £20 best bet is find a local Smith with the knowledge not a shop...... wabbitbosher springs to mind....
  3. It’s nothing at all to do with manufacturer..... you need to go back to the retailer you will have a good case as it’s failed before but the change in the leg hasn’t really helped as it’s confused everyone and blurred the lines.... where red did you buy it? Your contract is with the retailer no one else
  4. Anyone know what’s happening to the site?
  5. It will need wires either power or video/data loads to choose from £20-£200 a camera main thing is how do you want to view or record it?
  6. How does the fuel grade create bore wash? Bore wash is over fuelling so cheap fuel goes through injector faster? Creates more pressure in fuel line? I run a fairly highly strung motor and its runs on everything from optimax to 99 and Asda 95 yet to see any difference. If it was tuned to the max it would need higher spec fuel but uk unleaded is all generally high quality you can buy higher spec fuels but basic unleaded is pretty good, other parts of the world where I think a lot of this originates from (china has fake forecourts ***)
  7. Parkers will give you a guide on trade values for free, sure it's not a 1.4 mate has one and really rates it as a car does high miles and it's been good. Guess it depends on what you want from a car, plenty of older cars cost more, newer ones might cost less
  8. What year and colour will help
  9. Used to be you couldn't charge the card but reserve the amount against it (forgot what's it's called) now seems to be the norm to take full payment then order from wholesaler and if out of stock with wholeslaermyour knackerd.... use credit card, don't mess about contact card company if no refund after 7 days, wait longer at your own peril................
  10. So it is relevant to the purchase and as such should be easily identified and answered, that's poor product knowledge and really is fundamental to the job.
  11. Why not, fact is customer was in his shop, if he can't justify his pricing then he has no chance...... I regularly check prices when I am out, doesn't matter what it is, car dealers are still around after years of autotrader, we have a saying at work that a salesman who can only sell on price isn't a salesman. Same is true of an RFD if they cannot add any value to the transaction advice, stock holding, service back up etc what is their justified existence ? Being local isn't enough, I have had very positive experiencies where others have vowed never to set foot again, so each consumer has their own priorities and as such there is no recipe for being perfect in retail hence why we have a range of outlets catering to different s customers and their needs and tastes.
  12. You feel bad because people have he audacity to shop around? No business has an intrinsic right to exist, RFDs are more protected than most and it is possible to be honest competitive and offer good service just very very rare and that should not be the case! If good ones are failing and bad ones persisting then the market wants rubbish service, poor advice and inflated prices... Technical questions do seem to be frowned upon, out of interest what is the benefit 8-9 twist over 12?
  13. That's a shame, it was all transacted through the retailer Mole Valley who were equally brilliant in sorting it out, were you not able to simply post the fault you ones back the retailer and have them replaced?
  14. Just wanted to say how impressed with Aigle customer service I have been, my Aigle boots (not Wellies) split and let water in through soles even though out of the 2 year warranty period they have instructed retailer to accept them back for full credit. Despite me not having proof of purchase! Ther ewas a known issue with sole so they have stepped up and offered a full credit. Really impressed and I fully recommend Aigle just keep the receipt for the 2 year warranty.... Retailer was also really helpful and got a great jacket with the credit as I had already bought another pair of boots. Aigles as it happens....
  15. Gun shop rugby are good for left hookers bending them can be a pain and crack the stock why take the risk?
  16. £4500 per unit expected cost perhaps the current Ines cost more.......
  17. Hatsan will be all over this.... 8 shot gas semi 10 samples that will be returned..... after trials
  18. http://www.government-online.net/shotgun-system-contract-ministry-of-defence/ Just saw this while looking for some info on Tender..... some interesting bits of info..
  19. Do you know if it will fit 5610?
  20. indeed which is why an A class squad could be unsettled by a novice on the line, and the novice unsettled by the etiquette. Never shot a handicapped round only standard DTL and ball trap lines
  21. Ok that makes sense but puts an unclassified total novice on a an A class squad.... better ask to go on the lowest squad B/C and if you shoot 300 just apologise.....
  22. Gun shop in Cwmbran will let you try a gun sw2000 I haven't had any issues with Phil ash, seems its others that let people down? He has a tie in with dragon clay sports at ewenny go and see bob very helpful chap not open Sunday though. Mendip as well has a tie in to a shop and run open days from time to time as does ivythron, brookbank has a shop too (nice ground)
  23. Stick to skeet to appraise the gun, dtl like all trap is marmite and having a trap gun will help but for a first time anything will do, not sure how dtl by distance will work practically mind........ don't worry if you only hit a few at dtl and others are hitting 25/25 you could always try a dtl layout but shoot from peg 3 only and see how you go. If worries ask the organiser to put someone with you to show you the ropes. PS where will you be shooting?
  24. Used to be well served but not so much, Phil ash shop has a tie in to a club in ewenny and will take guns there to try, you have a few others in Somerset and I think there is a similar deal with a clay ground and a shop in Cwmbran Where are you going to be shooting?
  25. Did they target the guns or the house in general?
