  1. I am not sure if this has been posted before, appologies if it has, I couldn't find it anywhere with a search. http://www.patrickflanigan.com/videos/05%2060%20Promo_nf.wmv Obviously their answer to John Bidwell! Now why can't I do that? :*)
  2. No worries. The write up in Shooting Sports says thr RRP for the new 16" Style in .22lr is £405! There are loads of them on GunTrader for £245 - so who's fooling who :<

    Sloe berrys

You do know that freezing them and chucking them in Gin splits the berries for you Pike? I know some people still like to ***** them all anyway, but a lot of folk don't realise that freezing also works.

Where I live the WI bregade will have been out well before that! (if we get a frost that is) bit like the blackberries some ****** had been out with a strimmer to gain more access - what's the world coming to?
  5. They are pretty solid reliable workhorses, I am guessing you are looking at the Yeoman which is the most common boxlock, non ejector. Lets see what any one else thinks.

Dave, People <used> to wait for the first frost, but if they look ready get them in the freezer now. I guess you know the rest "don't bother pricking them etc etc..." ?? I still have some from last year, I really must get my AIG and by some Gin to get another batch on the go.
  7. My understanding, is.... The land owner has the right to do that, not the owner of the shooting rights.
  8. Thanks for the responses guys, I can sleep easy now

Probably forgotten their passwords by now!
  12. Ok I don't know much (if anything at all) about air rifles, had a BSA Meteor as a kid and that is about all. Excuses out the way! I was looking at a rifle test in Shooting Sports and saw an FT rifle with a 5 port muzzle break, can someone please tell me why an FT Rifle would a need muzzle brake?? I have shot .223 and .308 with brakes and I could feel it made a difference (just annoyed people either side at the range!) I also shot a .375 which could have done with one - but a .177 air rifle weighing 10lbs or more???
  13. Errr out of your price range I feel! I have a Style with and Eric Brooks trigger job, so I wouldn't want any less than £200 for it, which isn't a bargain (no harm in being honest) if you consider you can buy new for £220 if you look realy hard :<

Velveteens, you actually have the life a lot of people on here dream about having - don't knock it mate! 'the other mans grass is always greener etc....'
  16. OK so they are currently 20" so they have chopped 4" off the end and there is no drop in velocity (apparently) A 16" barrel is going to much easier to swing about inside a vehicle even with a moderator on the end - I want one anyone want to buy a 20" 452??
  17. I read yesterday that BRNO 452's are now available in 16" Carbine, without measuring mine (ooo err missus!) I don't know how long they used to be?
  18. Saling in Greece sounds nice Trev, we are off Sailing/Dirinking in Plymouth next weekend which will be a crack, can't imagine we will have the same weather that you had though :*)
  19. Theoretically... B/A's are slightly more accurate. You should only need one shot if you are doing your job properly From what I have seen - please correct me if you disagree - S/A's seem to occupy the lower end of the market price wise, and need some tickering to get going well? S/A's have a bit more in them to go wrong and can sometimes be ammo fussy. So as you may have gathered, I have a B/A and prefer it to a Semi, although it is good fun emptying 30 rounds into a target at 50 yards while the range officer is stood behind you with his hands on his hips muttering something about 'indescriminate fire' And that was when I was a guest at my mates club! But I am sure there are similar arguements for S/A's from the users on this forum.
  20. Chris, I had a bad batch of Clear Winners a while ago and sent them back to Gambore, they happily replaced the lot - in these customer focussed days, I was somehow expecting more but didn't get it, just what I was entitled to
  21. It used to be mainly a fishing fair years ago, but now it is THE shooting fair of the year, and they have been 'bigging it up' in the press saying this year will be biggerand better than ever.....
  22. Having just joined the BASC (at last) will you be offering any goodies to members? Apart from a look at the promotional girls of course
  23. Not sure if this will work or not, but here is the view we woke up to on a morning with good weather! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v130/sha...ng/HPIM0406.jpg
  24. Having been very aprehensive about a holiday in England (especially on the Norfolk Broads) I was pleasantly surprised by what a nice part of the country it is, when we got away from the madding crowds. Loads of wildlife, we saw a few Kingfishers, 2 Barn Owls, 3 Chinese Water Deer and an unidentified hawk, not a buzzard so most likely a Marsh Harrier(?) I only had my **** bino's with me as I wasn't expecting to see so much wildlife. Obviously couldn't take the shooters along with us but caught plenty of fish and a couple of eels :< Anyone else had a good holiday?
  25. As a last resort you can do this: http://www.landreg.gov.uk/ You need to know the post code or map ref of the land in question. It used to be free, but now you have to pay one English pound
