i think it should be alright,we use them type of pumps sometimes at work for pumping trench's and manholes out.think the suction bagging is usually around 8-10ft long.is it the sort with the lay flat roll out bagging?

i got some off ebay,they are only a couple a quid each.and by god they're sticky,when it comes to trying to peel a mouse off them you end up ripping the mouse to shreads trying to remove it (dont worry the mouse is dead before trying to remove it).they would hold a rat easy.

most yards will take manhole covers.i work for a groundworks company,and if we're ripping up a yard or road we take all the old manhole covers,gully tops,any cable or lead we dig up.and no scrapyard has ever asks where its come from,its not in their interest to turn away profit.its not the yards fault,its down to people not getting sent down for long enough when sentenced! if they got 15 years for nicking from a church there would be a lot less lead pinched!!
