Hi, I will take this please. You have pm. atvb Paul.
-
Not at all, its clear to me what you are asking for and I'm no stocker.
-
Hi, only just seen this. As a bit of an OCD where shotgun woodwork is concerned there is no way, no day I would ever even dream of paying for what you have been offered, it is nothing like what you asked for. Stand your ground as its a total fail for what you ordered. atvb Paul.

Looking good, have a great trip to Shropshire and The West Midland. -
Wood is a material that man has no control over, it happens from time to time. I'm sure you will get it replaced ;-)

Beretta 686 Silver Pigeon 12 gauge
Shropshire_Lad replied to Gun Watch's topic in Guns for Sale (Private Sales)
Still here can't believe it hasn't been snapped up. -
Well I got to hadle one at Hodnet today. The 32" left hand POW version. Just WOW ! fit like a glove and for a gun with 32" barrels was so pointable and light. Wood work was a bit plain Jayne but shape wise spot on. Engraving looked better in the flesh but could be better (just my pet hate about this gun ) Would I buy one ? Trying to find a reason not to .

To be honest I get so fed up of hearing that this gun or that is a nail when in truth most will last the agerage shots life time under average use. Lets face it most of us can't afford to shoot thousands and thousands of rounds a year...I can't. So for average Joe most out there will do the job just fine as long as they fit well eonough and you enjoy using it and having fun.

Are burrs considered normal wear and tear on shotguns?

Just seen this and gather its from a mixed up post on an Evo. My coments on there about are we expecting too much were made before I saw this photo. If that were my gun I would want it sorting ! end of . -
Thanks for that, wasn't making any sense lol. While on the subject of mass produced guns, the ones that most of us aspire to own are we expecting too much ? To be fair they are on the whole pretty well made which ever one you go for. Sure the hand finishing is not going to happen on a cheaper gun but for that privalige you are starting to talk silly money. Obviously if something is really bad then it needs sorting out but I think on the whole we all expect perfection these days, no matter how much we pay.

? interested to hear what thats about ?
-
not far from me, look forward to giving it a try When I get a day off !

The 686 Evo is basicaly the same gun, mine cost £1700.... Great stock too !

http://www.trwhiteguns.co.uk/ Tony is a great guy to deal with, I had a right hand cast off sxs and he worked wonders bending and shaping it to fit me, a chubby lefty lol. Lots of cast on and toed out, fit like a glove afterwards .

Really love the looks of the twenty with the POW stock, first gun that has me tempted away from the Beretta's. I can't help but think they got the engraving wrong though ? everything else looks perfect. Of course a personal taste thing but not sold on the mix of modern and clasic.
-
nice one ;-), post a few pics when you get it .
-
How close is that to Haimwood shooting ground ! great little shoot there ;-)
-
Same here but maybe farther from the border than you were thinking but ask away .
-
I hope you get sorted, I love my EVO. I'm a shorter guy and the 30" is just perfect for me.
-
I gave a best friend a 25" Arrietta Churchill sidelock . Stunning gun and I loved the short barrels as a walk about gun. Went to a great home and a man that deserved it.

I have had both and shot way more second and third Rabbits off the spot with the HMR.
