hi just thort i would add my bit...i was out a few weeks ago shooting magpies with my 17hmr...managed to get about 30 or so yards from a couple of them,lined one up for the shot,safe backstop pulled the trigger i noticed a louder bang than normal and not the useual crack...off flew the magpie... checked the case sure enough a big split around the kneck of the case...seemed to be a cloud of smoke as well when i fired the shot.. rich.

i use a 223 at the moment but also have a 22-250 in the cabinet, and have a blaser 243 on order..

I've got a ATEC on my 223 and my 22-250..fantastic little mods. I've orderd a blaser 243 and will be getting one on that as well...

Same rifle as me and the same rounds... Will be out this coming week on a few new permissions with it..

Well shot mate....how do you find the .22wmr for foxing?? I have one but not used it yet.. Rich.

browning x-bolt 223 with 50grain sako rounds, s&b 8x56 scope and a ATEC mod works fine for me..

I have been given a bettinisoli dimond as a gift from a friend...still with the tags on and in the box un fired...I'm on the grouse again tomorrow and will be taking it..it feels good and has a nice smooth crisp closing and the engraving looks good too...all in all I'm really happy with it..

I've just put a new S&B 8x56 on my 223 for foxing it's fantastic...a really nice bit of kit...

I use a lightforce 140 with a Amber filter...more than enough for the 17hmr...

I was fishing from Whitby a couple of weeks ago...a few cod and ling nothing like that lot tho...well done mate...

hi just to give you all a update.. i have given archie a treatment of frontline and got a anti fungal shampoo from the vets...he is 100% better no more scabs on his neck and he seems back to his normal self again.. he still nibbles his feet abit but all the scratching has gone and no-more scabs on his neck and the red raw bits under his front legs have settled down..i also got a cream to put on the scabs it smelled like germoline to be honest but it has done the trick.. i have no idea what irritaded him so much but it seems to have stopped.. so much so he will be with me on the grouse on monday.... just wanted to say thanks from me and archie for all the suggestions and help.. rich

thanks spaniel i was getting totally lost with the different names for the same chokes, but the notches makes it so much more simple..thanks again rich

is it simpler with the little cuts in the top of the chokes?? i.e one choke has 1 nick and another choke has 2 nicks and another has 3 and so on...? thanks rich

Hi Just got home from buying a fantastic Browning 325 but i need some help with the chokes... it came with 5 chokes... plus mod in the top barrel imp mod in the bottom barrell and 3 spare- plus cyl,plus full and mod-lead full steel, this is going to be used on mostly game-phesants,partridge and pigeons... which chokes should i stick with for my shooting?? and the chokes that say steel on them whats does that mean?? on the barrell it says MOD.325 PLUS-SP- will this gun take steel shot its only 2 3/4 chambers.. thanks for any advice rich..
