  1. It's a shame the game's not delivered. It's so scrappy at the moment! Far too many handling errors from both teams.
  2. This bunker referral system's getting beyond a joke. Here's Romain Taofifenua battering a chap in the head with his forearm with driving force and only getting a yellow. I know the player is low, but at no point has he even attempted to make a legal tackle or pull out, he's just clobbered him one. There really shouldn't be mitigating circumstances if you're not trying to do anything right. And yet Curry has to sit out a couple of games for having nowhere to go in a challenge. 's
  3. 😂 I do love SEO's! they always look so enraged with everyone
  4. He refused to come back because he wouldn't tick a box? 'it's the principle of the thing' is a sad way to leave something he'd obviously got pleasure out of. It sounds like warnings are given out with good reason but don't have to mean anything in the long term - especially as there's no ban. It seems a bit of a shame for a well respected member to leave like that. My guess is pride may have made it a bigger deal than it needed to be.
  5. But a lot of these cosmetic surgeries have nothing to do with weight and everything to do with biology being considered wrong. No amount of healthy eating and exercise is going to enlarge a woman's breast size. It's not going to give fuller lips, or a more perfect nose shape. Dietary or lifestyle changes would not have given this poor girl the behind she wanted The problem is the battle between what is healthy and what they want to look like. For many, surgery's considered the only option to give them what biology could never do. It's just miserable and it has nothing to do with laziness.
  6. She was, apparently, a 'a psychological well-being practitioner at mental health charity Mind.' It's so often the case that those with mental health issues end up working for mental health charities. They're obviously able to give great insight to help others, but then you're surrounding someone with mental health issues with mental health issues constantly. Sadly it's not uncommon for it all to end badly. Pretty devastating for her family
  7. Absolutely. It's been a super start.
  8. That no armed tackle that led to the Fijian player dropping his grounding. How he got away with that, I have no idea!
  9. With any luck, that might help Curry. He's got a hearing about his on Tuesday, so England should have their ducks in order by then with their case on Curry's behalf. I missed it, but apparently the second yellow for Chile today was very similar and that stayed yellow. The WRU have properly dug themselves a hole with these decisions.
  10. Nope. He wrapped fine. His shoulders hit buttocks/hip area, but he was coming low and going lower, so his head was more thigh and the wrap was round the knees. Yellow and reviewed for possible red, but it stayed yellow.
  11. A Chilean's just been sin binned for tackling too low. It's all getting a bit complicated for tackling!
  12. Yeah. It's pretty brainless stuff from Argentina. A win here sets their tournament up nicely. But they're just not thinking!
  13. Indeed so. Halfway line drop goal? Nice!
  14. Couldn't even get to 3 minutes without going down to 14. Thems the rules, but I think the Argentine was pretty lucky not to join Curry with a red card. Not a great start to our tournament
  15. Oh give over. As @billytheghillieand @nobbyathomehave said, GG's photos are all of the highest quality and a credit to the forum. His photos are always some of the best that appear in the phots section and I'd rather see his shots than a pile of dead things strewn on the ground. Top work as eve @GREENGRASS Nice to see a bunch of your photos appear again ad with some more unusual subjects too
  16. Excellent stuff. What time of day was this?
  17. A falconer would be a great teaching tool. The kids would love it and it's a great way to teach them about wildlife management, predation and avian biology at a really accessible level. Serious cool points if your school's got a falcon on its list of staff members! How effective it would be in the long run is a matter for debate. If the problem's really that bad, the bird would have to be there 24/7 really and there are still no guarantees. In Dorchester town centre there are two churches with spires within very close proximity to each other. Pigeons love one and there are peregrines nesting on the other. Not much deterrent going on there! Netting works, but it doesn't look great and you'd need a heck of a lot of it. There's also the danger of it not deterring the birds but actively trapping them, which is a slow death and the caretaker won't thank you for adding 'untangling dead and rotting pigeons' to his job description. As @Ultrastu suggests, you might have to resort to Sunday morning shootings with an air rifle, at least for a while, to bring the numbers down rapidly.
  18. Yeah that's about the size of it. Mead and Williamson are both out with ACL injuries. Kirby's had a terrible season with fitness problems and Ellen White's retired. Defensively we've coped without Williamson, but the other three have proved irreplaceable. Australian striker Sam Kerr's testament to how critical Kirby is as a creator at Chelsea. With Kirby fit, Kerr was banging in 20 league goals a season. Last season, without Kirby for much of it, she scored 10. For all James' excitement, she doesn't unlock defences like Kirby or score a volume of goals like Mead. Hemp's a quality player and so is Russo, but neither of them are raw poachers with a striker's instinct for sussing out a half chance like White was. But we got to the World Cup final, so...the kids are alright!
  19. Yes that's a huge positive. With Kirby and Mead there, we would have taken that Spain to the cleaners. Without them, we got to the final; a great statement of improving depth.
  20. aye this was the problem. A great game plan that we just didn't deal with. Still, a lot of positives. An under-strength England getting to the final and only losing 1-0? That's a good few weeks at the office
