  1. If using a sat nav as a speed limit warning device it's important to keep it updated as information can be out of date should roads have speed limits reduced/temporarily imposed. Mine for example goes off indicating a 20mph limit that was temporarily imposed on the A12 due to lane closures and bridge repairs, Obviously when sat nav manufacturer 'mapped' the route this 20mph limit was listed.
  2. My poor little 14wk old pup has suddenly developed a problem with her eyes, Inside of her upper and lower eyelids iare all red and pimpled/blistered/cysts or spots I dunno. I called our vets where she's registered, explained her symptoms and my current financial predicament and that I couldn't pay for a couple of weeks and could they/would they help ? Help ? Would they **** !! All they could do was give me details of the PDSA and suggest I go there if I wanted treatment for free. (It's 20+ miles away in Basildon !!) Now I know they're a business, they need to be paid they have bills to pay, But to turn an animal in distress away, to me shows their true measure. Anyways I phoned our local RSPCA clinic in quite a state of upset and managed to explain the situation and was told they do charge but it's subsidised, And to get puppy up there to be seen and we'd go from there. Got antibiotic tablets, some eye drops and consult fee was £15 (half of what my registered vets wanted) Total was £38.13 in total, on account unofficially till I can sort it out. Just got to see if we can get it cleared up.
  3. Gun has now gone to someone who I believe will use it as intended and really appreciate it so all Even managed to offload about 6-7 boxes of carts with it
  4. It's still a pooey shade of brown But the Go Faster toilet paper stripes break it up a bit . . . . . Pee taking aside, It REALLY looks like you've done a cracking job on that, Well Done
  5. Make sure you pay more than the minimum voluntary NI contributions. If it doesn't work out for you and you end up having to sign on......you'll be alone and abandoned and won't count for nothing.
  6. @ Me Matt, No, the Cd unit in the basic Mondeo is bigger than a double din unit as its various function buttons are around the central unit. The Sony head unit in higher models is simply Double Din. Thanks It'd be obvious IF only it was easy to take and upload a couple of photos on here
  7. Why are the stripes higher up on one side then ? Edit : Now the pics seem to have disappeared
  8. Some of the higher end variants (if there can be such a thing] of the Mondeos had a Sony Unit that was a Double Din unit with all its control buttons on its face, mine being a lower class has a Ford unit with function buttons around the central unit.
  9. In fact, What about a PW calendar
  10. Rob aka Welsh1 should be a contender In fact, He should do his own calendar.
  11. Update : They DO NOT straight swap out :( Transit is a straight forward Double Din aperture and the Mondeo is ........well ..summat else as all the function buttons are around it, Although, I believe some Mondeos had a higher end Sony Double Din unit fitted Ho Hum, knew it seemed to easy
  12. Bollards ? Covert wooden bollards just 12-18" high and leave the grass to grow longer up around them.
  13. Ahemm, I did history at school " Uhuh, Fank you very much"
  14. But what colour lipstick have you chosen
  15. The trouble is.....employers can do what the hell they like with little fear of being brought to book. My last employ we started at 8am on day One and went off duty 6pm on day Four, Normal day was only paid 8am - 6pm but we had to take a 7.5ton truck home after and were 'On Call' and obliged to respond
  16. Form a band and take it touring round Europe on a Summer Holiday (pre brexit whilst your still allowed) Oh wait.... . . . Someone did that already
  17. Hmmm I'll bet I'm the only one who read 'loose fit legs' and immediately thought of a PW user
  18. Thanks guys, I'm only really bothered about putting he Cd unit in the transit but I'll check I have the code before unplugging it -taa My mum bless her has bailed me out to get the Transit repaired & Mot'd as its been stood up since last Sept/October. I just want to swap the better Cd unit out of the Mondeo
  19. I have an MOT failure 2004/2005 Mondeo with a CD/Radio, (model #2006 I believe?) Would this be a straight swap into my 2005 Transit which only has a Tape/Radio (model #2004 ?) I'm hoping all the plugs would be exactly the same ?
  20. There's quite a few Stationary Engine groups on Faceache .....lots of enthusiasts and info and resources out there to be had.
  21. Well, 4 days after potting some up I have a good number germinated The pot I put indoors with a cover on has gone away quicker, the one I left outside on the table is not so advanced.
  22. Thanks all, Well due to a shopping disaster today, Spent over an hour selecting the cheapest of everything, 'own brand' - 'value' range and got our monthly food shop down to £77 . Got to the till, everything scanned through and bagged, Utt Ohhh card declined - insufficient funds. More embarrassing as all in front of my wife's colleagues, she was next to inconsolable. Anyways had to walk round the shop putting everything back. We get one egg every couple of days from our last chook, So it'll be dipped in a beaten egg and into a bit of plain flour before frying, or tossed in a bit of veg' oil and then in the oven
  23. Had a bit of luck and ended up getting about 20-25kg of Free Chicken, It's portioned/jointed up as Thighs, Drumsticks, wings and legs and has gone in the freezer. I'm never gonna be another Colonel Sanders, but can anyone tell me how to make a simple coating (with perhaps a hint of BBQ or Sweet Chilli ?) for deep frying please ?
