Thanks for the replys so if it is theft he is illegally holding a firearm that could mean 5yrs of porridge SHAME i think he would also loose his job as a fireman

The problem is it is all on his fac so it looks like he owns it on paper,but they have all the accounts and till rolls to prove he didn't pay.They are seeking legal advice asap

A very good friend of mine owns my local gunshop.A so called friend of the his family asked him to get a new gun in for him,a remmington 243 t8 mod scope and ammo.When it arrived the so called friend was contacted to come and pick his gun up.Thats when the problem started,he came in the shop to pick it up.The owner filled all the details out on his fac.Then the so called friend said he hadn't got the money on him.Could he drop it in the next day.Which the owner agreed to as this has happened before and he had always came back as promised.This was approx 5 monthes ago after trying to contact him many times they have wrote and tried to ring he has made no effort to reply.Does anybody know if they have a leg to stand on trying to claim there money back through the courts

Another good read and pics keep them coming.Next year me and a mate are hoping to go to belgium boar shooting.The vet where i work lives in belgium,his cousin works for the forestry commission and is going to take us boar shooting,in return he is coming over here to do a bit of stalking,lamping and a days pheasant shooting.Is there a minimum size rifle and bullet you have to use to shoot boar.I shoot .243 and my mate shoots .308

Lovely looking gun,im thinking of putting in for a variation for a 6.5x55.I use the partizan in my .243,they group better than any thing else i've used

I would go to your local DIY store buy a tin of bright yellow gloss,take the lid off and put a piece of paper on it.Then turn the tin upside down on the roof of his car.Remove the paper.You will have great pleasure watching him takeing it off and covering his own car in paint :unsure:

Thanks for the advice,i have sprayed it and greased it.Does it alter the p.o.i for the first few shots.I know it needs checking after being removed from the gun but didn't know if the wd40 would make any difference until it was burnt out

I went out this morning at 7am.I went to a wood where one of the tractor drivers had seen a fox.I stood near a telegraph pole approx 100yds from the wood.I called for 2 or three mins.Left it for a couple of minutes and called again.Out of the game cover came a full grown fox.Big mistake for her 100grn from my 243 and it was lights out.The tractor driver had just started drilling the field behind me,couldn't believe how quick i had got one.I was on my way home for breakfast by 7.20.

I recently had a T8 fitted to my 243,i read somewhere that a squirt of WD40 in them helps to prevent rust.How much do you put in.Enough to run out the end,or a light spray.And how often ? ROB

Been a slaughterman for the last 20yrs

I've just come home.Weather stopped play.On the land i shoot we have a VERY wary fox.he is seen on a regular basis in the same area at roughly the same time.I placed the HHB up wind on the edge of the game cover about 30-40 yards from where he is seen.I set up about two hours before he was due to show himself,that way there was no disturbance just in case he should show early.Just like clock work he appeared he seemed to be interested .Kept popping out of the game cover and you could tell he was looking for something by his body actions.The trouble was as soon as the lamp was on him he wouldnt keep still.I think with a food bait as well this will be the end of him.I will be honest i was a bit unsure of this as i have smelt a lot worst things,on a scale of 1-10 i will say this is a 7. I will not hesitate in using it again

I made some about 4 weeks ago,i didn't boil it.Just put them in a sealed container with boiling water.The smell isn't gut churning.Im taking it out tonight to try it out.

Thats good you can get out and enjoy your shooting still,anyone who has read your posts will know you are a true sports man who enjoys his shooting.Keep the storys and pics coming i realy enjoy looking at them and im sure a lot of other people do.I suppose there is a good side to you not having your guns.The foxes in your area can sleep with both eyes shut

Take mrs sweepy out for dinner,then break the news to her.It works every time for me.2 weeks is a real good turn around,took a couple of my mates over 2 months with suffolk police.Any idea what gun you are going for
