You have PM. -
Now dont get me wrong, I love Land Rovers...BUT
-Mongrel- replied to Vel Crow's topic in Motoring Section
They'll try and tell you there was no warning of the hub detaching itself...no clonks, no vibration, nothing! It just fell off! I'd suspect there may have been a slight lack of maintenance on that vehicle, dunno what it is that suggests that, maybe it's the hand painted...errr....paint! -
Should do it!

Sorry, lost track of this, you have further PM's
-
Jeez, if they can't even see a Goldwing, what chance do we have?
-
No, no, don't apologise, you've given some of us 10 minutes of fun we'd otherwise not have had.
-
So what do you do to stir the blood and get the pulse racing a bit, to truly feel alive? Oh, no, sorry, you wouldn't risk a racing pulse would you, just in case it killed you!

If it's large I'll take the jacket, trousers won't fit so will you split? By large we're talking 42-44 chest.
-
If you can get them landing within 40 yards or so, an air rifle is definitely a viable option.
-
Anyone else click this expecting to see classic French impressionist paintings being put to bad use?
-
You want us to believe that you can use a DVD player but haven't worked out spell checker yet?

True enough, a friend has his shottie on the wall with a trigger lock which is fixed to the wall. It's in his dining room on the outside wall so not visible from outside. His FEO comes round and inspects and the last two times has said "I don't think you'll be able to keep it like that by the time I next visit", but it's still there and was inspected 18 months ago.

Divorce/ceasement of the relationship sounds the only reasonable course of action there.....as well as selling off everything of value she may have(particularly jewellery, that'll go down exceptionally well if he sells off all of her jewellery!).
-
Are you sure that isn't Viszla (singular) and that you haven't just copy and pasted the second one in?
-
LOL at that ^^^. Valid point though...they reckon 90% of all Landies built are still on the road...just not on the vehicle they were originally! Reliability isn't that bad in my experience, my Disco went from MOT to MOT for with only service items most years. The problem with them is rust. If you get a good one and stay on top of it then that's ok, get a bad one and it'll be another one being 'broken' in double quick time.
-
No it's not! It's ridiculous! Ridiculously cheap that is! I'd have charged that at £45/hour plus parts. That's pretty reasonable for the South East so you got an absolute bargain IMO>

Disco 1 with the 300 tdi is the one I'd go for, and I've had/have pretty much all of them. 200 tdi's good...but not as good as the 300, TD5 as said, seems to suffer a lot of niggles. V8 petrol (which is the only petrol I'd have) is great..but very juicy, it's only valid for 'toys' IMO even with LPG fitted. Tyres will depend on what you use if for, if it's light off roading then Michelin roads are good enough and get my vote. Insa turbos are well rated off road, I've not used them though.

Hopefully you have PM confirming my interest?

Don't get me wrong, if I needed a daily driver to do hundreds of miles a week it would be a Jap TD, probably a Mitsubishi. My Landy's are for local runs, my hobbies of fishing and shooting, chucking the dogs in the back when they're covered in mud and **** without worrying about the upholstery, summer trips to the beach (not far!) with the kids in the back and the roof in the shed, and those snowy winter days where 2wd isn't even going to get me out of my parking spot. It's an occasional vehicle, most of the long runs are done in a 'normal' estate car. By 'normal', what I really mean is characterless!

Pleased you sorted it, just be aware of possible excessive wear on the nut side, it could however be that the nut is shaped to accept the ball anyway. The 'plumber' was a muppet. This is basic plumbing installation work.

You have got to be kidding? While I accept there is maybe more chance of a JR biting a kid it's unlikely to be able to kill or seriously mutilate them, same cannot be said of Bull terriers of any type! There just isn't any comparison in power to weight ratio between them or aggression levels when they go into 'attack mode'.
