Now now, not quite true. You don't NEED a dive cylinder. You can pump them up perfectly well with a stirrup type pump, so long as you are fit and keen! That said, all serious PCP shooters I know use a dive cylinder, and why get a 12 litre when you can get a 300 bar 15lt for not a lot more? Doesn't generally cost any more to get them filled either.

Yeah was windy as anything, a few trees down and a couple of the more remote villages are without power...but generally thoroughly undramatic!

Seconded on all counts. I find Laura to be a particularly good coach!

Interparcel are a tad cheaper too so...KennyM you have PM
-
If it's still available, when you get the chance, can you stick it on a set of scales for me and message me the weight, I'll get a quote?
-
I'd be interested but we'd have to courier it. Let me know if it's an option.

Heavy rain showers and ever strengthening winds at the moment...and it's not supposed to wind up until tomorrow. It's is getting properly snotty out there at the moment!
-
Sorry, Pink Floyd, in the main, are ****!

Plenty of advice on here about how to gain permission. Get involved, get posting and keep your eyes open.

Agreed! So similar in their outlook and sound as well.

Hi, I've had a response from one of the associates. I explained the situation and that it wasn't an expensive gun so not worth spending too much on. They can help me and sort out a new stock and forend, and all for the very reasonable START price of £2200. So, while I'm sure that's not unreasonable for what they do, it's way more than I'm going to spend on a gun worth a grand at best in perfect condition! Gunman, you have PM.

It's either; U2-The Joshua Tree or, Metallica-Metallica (The Black album) Can never pick one over the other.

+1 more for the Otterboxes. Even the 'soft' ones are pretty good.

Wouldn't have a dog without it being chipped now. Well done Evil Elvis. Oh on a side note, I grin at your username at least twice a week at the moment. I am commissioning heating systems at the moment, and the postcodes are all ending 'EE', which immediately makes me think of you! Yeah, yeah, I know, kinda weird in a stalker-ish kinda way!!!
-
Team T, I've emailed you for your thoughts on the situation. Demonwolf, your thread is whats persuaded me that I can't do it. I am not a talented wood worker. Welsh, I'll give them a chance to respond, they have my phone number on the email enquiry page they use.
-
OK, emailed Dennis, I'm really needing a man with the skills rather than a source of wood, I was wondering if it was possible to buy a shaped stock that you can then take on to cut out for the lock work etc and finish to suit the action?
-
As per the title, where can I buy a stock blank to suit and old hammergun? Is it viable to do so, or do I need to start from scratch?
-
...and a shed load of penetrating oil IME!!!

I'd like to see you back that one up with a course or something similar please. We have Eastern Europeans on the firm but the plumbers have equivalent quals, and the gas engineers have to be British certificated.
-
A friend of mine who is in the trade reckons a re-registered Cat C should attract a 15-20% reduction on the standard book price.
-
Bless you. Half a days work? Really? I tell you what, if you have a man who can do this job properly in half a day, could you forward me his number please. By properly I mean the old one removed and taken away, the wall made good as required prior to fitting the new boiler. Pipe and wire the boiler including probably upgrading the gas supply and running a new condense pipe. Making good the new flue. Filling, venting, cleansing, flushing and inhibiting the system and finally fully commissioning the boiler and completing the Benchmark certificate. £400 is about right for a straight forward swap over but can easily cost more, although not generally a grand more admittedly!
-
Similar to this with mine. The action was caked in thick, gloopy grease. Once cleaned out and relubed it was perfect ever after, that was several thousand shells worth.

Hello PW from the magnificent North East

At least you had the decency to apologise for your follicles ...and you're far enough away that I won't be able to smell the wee (it's there, maybe you just got used to it), so, a very warm welcome to PW! -
+1 on most of the above. I too had a brush with the law but as an 18 year old hothead who took offence to a stranger grabbing a handful of his GF's most intimate area, which resulted in a conviction for ABH. That's over 25 years ago and nothing more than a speeding ticket since, am I really unsuitable to hold a certificate Ross?
