  1. And the scary thing is that with an attitude like this, in all likelihood you have guns.
  2. As said above, it won't change the dog, it just gives it another, exciting facet to its life. My lab was a pet, training started at 4, she's adequate now but still the same eejit mutt!
  3. LOL. For 250 you wouldn't even get the engine and gearboxes.
  4. Yeah, I suppose it could be. I am fairly happy that the video of him running people over was sufficient information to allow me to make a judgement. If it had happened in the UK, the driver and the bikers would have been nicked...only in America maybe.
  5. Yep, used to use the range a lot. As you say, decent bunch of guys and generally helpful. Mike's a good sort for sure. The woodland targets are really good for teaching you how to judge distance and learn the drops of your pellets. Plinking range is good for....setting up the scope!
  6. Just been reading a bit more on this. It got really out of hand after the video. Apparently the driver was hauled out of the Rangey, battered and slashed, wife and kid untouched. Excessive and unforgivable. I'd still like to believe if he'd stopped and called the police, or endeavoured to keep rolling at a slow pace it would have ended much better. The guy who brake checked him has been nicked, fair do's, it was reckless...one of the guys he ran over has two broken legs and pelvis, is in an induced coma and may well never walk again. There are currently no plans to charge the driver...which seems a bit odd whens he's been video'd running over several bikers.
  7. I do understand that we are all different. This is why I was able to smoke pot as a kid and not progress on to 'other things', whereas a guy I socialised with had a hard core coke habit of about a grand a week (when he isn't inside for dealing) last I heard. I do believe some peoples personality/insecurities/confidence has as much to do with it as anything else. Effectively some people need a crutch and as such are more likely to become more and more dependent on their crutch. I was an addict at one point, addicted to nicotine, but in the same way that some don't have the ability to stop, some do.
  8. If it helps I've been quoted £100 plus parts to cut out and replace the boot floor. About 60 for the panel.
  9. If the rest is rusty how's the chassis, sills, rear door shuts, boot floor, front suspension turrets and rear cross member? If yes it's a good price, if no then how bad is it? All of the above are common rot points. As a guide I just bought a late 200tdi with decent mechanicals, solid chassis and repaired boot floor, turrets and sills. Just starting to show some rust on the rear door shut/arch and paid 650 with a few moths MOT. That seemed fair judging by ebay sale prices which I studied for weeks before I bought. Oh, and I believe an 'N' will be a 300 tdi.
  10. Be interesting to see if the Police see it that way when this all shakes out.
  11. A voice of reason. Organ donor comment is older then me, must try harder.
  12. It's in the middle of an organised ride, there's going to be a lot of bikes about. Most of them won't have taken what he did well, as an ex biker yourself you'll know that for many it's an extended family/brotherhood. I only actually saw one attack him, personally I'd have been more interested in getting him stopped and arrested and to be honest he'd already run people over so I'm not surprised they preferred to go after him in numbers.. He reacted badly and THAT was what escalated it...in my opinion of course.
  13. Yeah, and I'm sure you'd tell them that to their face. I'm a biker and no, I'm not going to condone what we saw. There was obviously an issue prior to this incident and, until we know what that was it's impossible to judge. BUT, does the fact that they were trying to slow/stop him justify running over another person, let alone several? Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't have stopped either, particularly if I had the family in the car, but riding roughshod straight over the top was bloody stupid never mind potentially lethal. As Gordon has already said, call the Police and stay in the car. He got his window smashed in after risking someones life. I have to say, if someone drove over one of my mates and sped off, my reaction would be unlikely to be mild.
  14. Pretty much no addict was forced. Junkies choose to take drugs as a general rule.
  15. Back when I was young it was financially viable to pop into the pub for a couple of an evening. If the missus and I go into a pub now. Drinks for the two of us are more expensive than twenty fags. Three rounds and you're looking at no change out of a score!
  16. Hatsans are fine. I say this as an owner. However, you do get what you pay for and on earlier models, cleaning is where its at. Dirty Hatsans don't cycle so well. Keep the ports clean, use 28g or more, they're fine in my experience. trouble free? Benelli SBE! I wish I had the spare cash!
  17. To a point. However, if you are happy to take on trust that it's never been dropped etc that's fine and tbh if it's only been worn twice it's not had time to mould. I'd have no real concerns buying it....other than I may find it a bit snug!
  18. He's right. There's no stigma attached to littering anymore, or at least not in many people's minds. I too like to leave the land as found and that includes when shooting, all carts, carcasses and litter come off the ground.
  19. If you want to take that tack, none of us have seen the original posters land and therefore nobody is in a position to comment. End of thread. Good night.
  20. Unadvisable, won't be as good or likely to kill myself with botulism! Bloody freezers going down and I have cold but softening pigeon, can I just pull it back down again or do I need to start cooking for the forty thousand?
  21. So there are trees and a large earth bank behind them and you can be absolutely certain that nobody has sneaked in there somewhere and pitched a tent or picnic can you? If there is the slightest doubt (and if you can't see clearly through the trees, or guarantee the round isn't going over the bank, I'd say there was doubt) then in my book that is an unsafe shot.
  22. I also was under that impression too, but the OP says building control are allowing him to self certify.
