  1. After saying I would like one, I then bought one last week. Nice guns - 28" Pigeon Grade XTR.
  2. Doc - I am not having a pop, but I cannot honestly see it being any use at all. The law abiding will comply. Scrotes will not. I think I know which section most of these attacks are from.
  3. Nickbeardo - well done. I would regard it as a mark of your standing in the Pigeonwatch community. Not much in the way of "well done" in the last post. Jealousy can be a bad thing.
  4. I love it when licensing is cited as the answer to everything. The people who own Pit Bull Terriers are breaking the law to start with. Why would they bother about a licence? Totally beyond me. Before another argument breaks out - this was an American Bulldog. For American - potentially read "large". I have two Japanese Akitas. One with Japanese lines and the other Amercian. I did a bit of reading before I got either - the upshot seemed to be Americans like size - big dogs. The breeder who I got my dog from was of the same opinion. My Japanese weighs 90lbs - but is a bitch. The American dog weighs 140 lbs. I was told that the Japanese breed for confirmation and temperament and the Americans mainly for size. The same seems to apply to terriers and bulldogs, with American heritage, which seem to be the preferred dogs for some people who let their kids near dogs with dangerous consequences.
  5. I find it odd that someone making their first post would resurrect a two year old thread. Not many 15 year olds have owned that many guns of that value. Hoping to get a new one??? Just hope he isn't a Walter.
  6. Cost is about £25, which is peanuts compared to the cost of the gun itself. You might know which area of the country you live in, but other members don't, so it's just a little hard to recommend a gun near you.
  7. Recoil reducer to fit Beretta 391 Optima semi-autos. This is the type that fits inside the stock in the recess below the recoil spring tube and is held in place by the cast and drop plate. Bought this from VicW, but no longer have the gun it was intended for. Collection welcome (Bolton area) - will take £15 cash or £20 inc P&P.
  8. Spares for Remington 1100 - two brand new firing pins, plus a Viton O ring (brand new). I no longer have the Remington. Can you make sure that these are what you require. £20 post paid. I have no idea of their cost when new - got them in with some other parts. If £20 is over the odds, I trust that someone will let me know. I won't take offence, unless you are being smart. £15 if collected - Bolton area.
  9. I rest my case - not many.
  10. They are a better material copy of a Remington 3200. They are okay for DTL. I don't remember many World Sporting, ISU Skeet, Olympic Trap etc. Champions shooting Krieghoff.
  11. I got a couple of these a few weeks ago, but have now got rid of my Remington. They are brand new. Anybody any idea how much a firing pin cost?
  12. £113.9 in the Northwest.
  13. From my limited knowledge, I would say about no more than 1%. The smarter people shoot with a Ruby - half the price.
  14. Bought an MK38 grade 5 yesterday. Had number of Brownings and Mirokus - all excellent - well made - long lasting - good resale value - proper, well engineered guns.
  15. They made the MK60 and MK70 in 20 gauge.
  16. It's a question of whatever suits you best. I have a Beretta 682E Trap gun which I use all the time, but I bought a Miroku Grade 5 trap gun today - for my rather large surly youngest lad. Both guns are excellent. Good luck with the Browning.
  17. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- HA882 Browning Citori GTS (Game-Target-Shotgun) High Grade (Elite or Grade 5) O/U, 12 Ga., 2 3/4" & 3" 28"MC Bbls., NIC, $3495 http://www.herosarms.com/beretta-browning.htm For a full page of photographs and a detailed description click the photo above or click here. Browning Says: Description: Receiver - Steel • Silver nitride finish • Gold engraving of a game bird transforming into a clay target. Barrel - Ventilated 10mm rib • Solid side rib. Action - Single selective trigger • Hammer ejectors • Top-tang barrel selector/safety • 3" chamber is ideal for field and range. Stock - Oil finish Grade II/III walnut • Pistol grip stock • Schnabel forearm. Features - Five Invector-Plus™ choke tubes • Triple Trigger™ System • Ivory front and mid-bead sights • ABS case included. Hero's Arms Says: This shotgun is variously called by Browning: "High Grade" in advertisements; "Grade 5" on the box; and "Elite" in gold on the receiver. It is not called "Golden Clays" though everything else with this engraving pattern is called "Golden Clays". Go figure. It has some of the most spectacular wood I've seen, far better than the Grade II/III advertised. At 8 pounds 4 0unces you are not likely to be bothered by the recoil from anything you shoot through it. The adjustable trigger gives 3/8" adjustment to the 14 15/16" Length of Pull. I'm not sure I'd want to carry this around all day for upland hunting, but for hunting from a blind, skeet, sporting clays or trap it would be hard to beat. The Invector Plus choke tubes come in Full, Improved Modified, Modified, Improved Cylinder, and Skeet constrictions. It does not have a palm swell so it is equally usable by left and right handed shooters. Mostly your friends will say, "Isn't that a beauty". Well made - last a lifetime and more.
  18. Blaser look to be a well engineered gun. I am surprised by the need for bits and bobs of rubber. Still if it works and the gun is okay in other respects - what the heck.
  19. Mark is a straight lad. No-one said they would buy it, before it was sold - just interest shown. Those are the rules.
  20. Well I think they are cheap. If they were nearer, I would be buying.
  21. When you say 6/7s - is he selling shot size 7 shells? If so, where do I find him?
