does anyone else feel this is a total waste of money ?
Gordon R replied to pegasus bridge's topic in Off Topic
When they have an enquiry into how and why each and every soldier has died in the two current campaigns - looking at why they were there, did they have the right equipment, did they have the right support, who killed them and why etc - I would then give due consideration to this enquiry, before dismissing it as a complete waste of money. -
I use Over and Unders for clay shooting, but bought a couple of SBSs:- A Ugartechea - needed some work on it - reblued barrels and did the wood work. A Winchester 23 XTR Pigeon Grade. Had a go with one - early 80s - waited until this year to buy one. I have used it for clays - very similar to an O/U to shoot with.

I think the fish is the pick of the three. Amazing co-incidence though. You can't blame the Police.

I don't know how she managed to keep a straight face when entering a Not Guilty plea. Where did she think all the money was coming from? Caught red handed as well. Naive? Hard faced in my book. No reduction in sentence for a Guilty Plea either. She got what she deserved, but I feel for the family. No parent in their right mind would be proud of a child involved in drugs. Perhaps the odd idiot earlier in the thread, but no-one with a brain cell. It has restored some faith in justice. Pity the people involved with Baby P and murderers don't get the same level of sentence or more.

I think you need to state a price or the post will be removed. It's in the terms and conditions of the sale section.

Whose comb raiser kit did you use and how much? I did one from the Gun Cupboard, but your pillars look thicker and better.

kdubya - hopes it's nothing serious and you are out soon. Regards. Gordon

Slightly off topic, but if you follow that last link - it says Beware Hoildays. If you click it up to full size - it spells "Holidays" properly.

Holland. I haven't seen a better player than Arjen Robben in the tournament.

When these teams lose, they look devestated - not like us. Our attitude seems to be - Ah well - we lost - time for a nice holiday.

I sold a Torque Wrench a couple of weeks ago on the auction site. It was heavy and the winner said he would have it collected, as he could get it done cheaper than me posting it. 15 e-mails and one phone call later, plus a couple of weeks passing, he decided he would like it posted. My wife had stayed in on three days when he said it would be collected. It was only when I asked for the courier company's name and phone number that he changed his mind. He had paid for the item by paypal, but took his own sweet time paying. He paid the postage a bit quicker. If he had organised a courier, I will plait sawdust. Some people on there are just idiots. They have no sense of urgency.

It is a Winchester 101 (800 series - 801,802,803and 804) badged as a Parker Hale. I think they were the direct equivalent of the Grand European Grade. They had a Game, Skeet, Trap and Sporting. Top guns.

The Classic Doubles seems way over-priced in my book. You can get a nearly new Miroku MK38 for that money. Winchesters (Classic Doubles) are fantastic guns - I have owned enough of them, but they are not newish guns - about 20 years old.

The delay might be his best line of defence. It would be legitmate to ask the FLO why the risk has increased after 3 1/2 years - incident free.

Which model, barrel length, chokes etc? - all would help.

£100 - you can get a BRNO sidelock ejector for £200.

Franchi Fast Black Shotgun for sale
Gordon R replied to Dazzza's topic in Guns for Sale (Private Sales)
I know Darren well and have had a shot with the gun. It handles very well and is well put together. I appreciate he has only just joined the Forum, but there is a genuine reason for the sale. You won't meet a straighter bloke. -
Well done to the lad and well done to you for being proud of him. My youngest. Surly Junior, has taken up shooting and is a fair shot. I just hope he gets to be better than me, but getting beaten by him is not an experience I really enjoy. Half of me wants him to do well - the other half wants to kick his backside. He has a faster and smoother swing than I had at my best. MITCHF - totally agree.

We ended up just about where we are in the World. We just get a bit carried away with enthusiasm and start believing the impossible. Aspiration is one thing. Over confidence is another. We never looked as if we were trying. If we were trying - that's even more scary.

The idiots who are employed by Halifax and the way they try to appear trendy. Cringeworthy - truly, utterly awful. Isa Isa baby http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wx-uzW4AWa4 What does she look like?

Cranfield - agreed, with the exception of Ashley Cole. I can't stand the little idiot, but thought he had a decent tournament.

MCB - good luck. Looks a nice gun. If you were nearer, I would have already bought it. -
Fitting a recoil pad - advice needed please
Gordon R replied to UKPoacher's topic in Guns & Equipment
I agree. If you try sanding after the Truoil, you can almost guarantee that you will mark the stock. Fit the pad to the stock - tape around the stock to prevent accidental contact and sand carefully. -
I have actually seen that site before. It says nothing about who sells them.
-
Never heard of them or seen them in a gun shop. Who sells them in the North West?
