If I took that amount of coaching, I think I would be straighting everything. You cannot get a picture in your head for every clay thrown. DTL, Skeet etc, but not for Sporting. It's technique, mental picture, experience, watching the clays properly and a whole lot more. It's simplistic to write things off as gun fit or lack of a mental picture.

I'm with Zapp on this. Guns are not like cars - they last a whole lot better. Let someone else take the first price hit. A good secondhand gun will be fine. I have owned in excess of 50 guns - with probably about ten new ones in there. After I shot them once, they were secondhand and worth a lot less.

There is nothing wrong with F3's gun fit or shells. Perhaps his and my age could be a factor, but that is still a lot of clays. I've shot 300 plus a few times and it was enough.

Just an observation. Not only of this forum, where I have to say I've not seen hardly any, but others in general. When someone makes a point or starts a thread that others don't like or have a difference of opinion, people start on about grammar and spelling. Unlike when it's some thing they agree with, they never correct the person's bad spelling or use of grammar. A bit petty I think. Too damn true. That's people for you. :(
