A set of MAC Knuckle Saver Rouse Racing Special Edition combination spanners 10-19mm - as new £60. Never used them as I didn't want to mark them and I already have more expensive spanners than you can point a stick at. Sold them to a mate of my son's. Never had a bad buy so far.

Forgive me - you go to the Police Station and see the civvy on the desk. You do not make an appointment with a Chief Superintendent. There is more to this. Why he needed to see someone of that rank - only he knows. He brought this on himself.
-
It's in Milnthorpe - my sister lives a few hundred yards away. I have visited it many times. Decent prices and nice people to deal with. They also have a little coffee shop - excellent service. I can also recommend John Norris in Penrith.
-
The 101 is a classic and every bit as good as a Browning / Miroku or Beretta. Shame they are no longer in production.
-
He's not the only one.
-
Bigweed - did this course last year at Coniston. A mate got three freebie vouchers. I can thoroughly recommend it. I was amazed just what the vehicles will do and I have owned a few 4 x 4s.

All the shooting grounds I've been to.

Favourite grounds:- Hodnet - none better. Mid Norfolk - big ground, interesting targets Rishton - I have known the owners for 30 years - decent shoot, good food, nice people. South West SS - 100 bird practice every morning when on holiday. North Devon SS - 100 bird practice every morning when on holiday. Billy Beldan's at Great Yarmouth - he was a local farmer with his own skeet range. Went on holiday, bought an auto and local Police told me of his shoot. Went along - asked if he sold shells. He didn't but gave me his own shells out of his car boot and refused to accept a penny. Top bloke. Least favourite:- Blakelow - shot there 20 odd years ago. I was on the stand looking straight at a young trapper - he was sending an incomer straight at me. My hands were a bit cold and I thought there was a risk to him. I declined to shoot and left. Some couldn't see what the danger was. Deerplay - an idiot pointed an auto at my head with the block down. I asked him to show that it was unloaded - a shell dropped out. We had more than a few words. I was less tolerant in those days. Manchester (Worsley) - should be so much better. Unimaginative clays and poor organisation. Farnley Tyas - awful organisation. Shooter in front of me went back to his car - 150 yards - to change his chokes, whilst his wife stood in the cage, guarding his place. Absolute idiots. -

I shot Charlesworth most weeks for two years - late 80s. I did the AA and then Guest Competition to win a loft full of useless trophies. Decent ground. I agree about the Grouse - about as bad as I have come across. Just listed about 65 grounds I have shot at and the screen refreshed - lost them all. I am not doing that again, but it brought back some good memories. Delbert - shot all those except Hayfield GC. -
Pour some more petrol on the fire. SOCA just do not go around doing what they want. They are a professional Agency. The last post is just silly.
-
Snap On Torque Multiplier - about £500 worth, at the back of my garage. Bought some stuff at an auction (couple of pounds) and just stored it there until I could sort it out. Couldn't believe my luck.

Chandelierman You didn't have to answer any questions and you haven't answered any questions in a way which would help people to give you advice. I really don't know why you posted in the first place.
-
Chandelierman - I am not with the Met, but you asked about your rights. Don't shoot the messenger. I started out with a degree of sympathy, but I am a little concerned about the whole situation. You seem to have missed out a few details. What did they suspect you of doing? What exactly was the allegation? Were you arrested for a specific offence or on suspicion? Why are they bothering to check your movements? If they have been doing surveillance on you, this is covered by the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act. Permission is not given lightly. Are you serious about them knowing your movements or is this a throwaway comment? You will have been given a copy of the search warrant? What does it say? Have you asked for your comments about damage to be recorded? Have you lodged an official complaint? Have you asked officially for the damage to be repaired? What has been said? If they entered your property first, they must have held a Magistrates Warrant. Someone of Constable rank or above has had to obtain this from a Magistrate, by convincing them that they had just cause. These are not just dished out. If you have been arrested, your property can be searched under Section 18 of the Police and Criminal Evidence act and requires the authority of an Inspector. These are known as "Inspectors' Warrants". The answers to these are entirely your own business and I have no right to know the answer, but you are seeking an opinion. In order to give you a proper answer, people need to know the circumstances.
-
Henry - I too would welcome the definitive legal opinion, but I have been on as many house searches and arrests as you can point a stick at.
-
It boils down to what they said when they arrested you. If they arrested you on suspicion of committing an offence, they are almost bomb proof.
-
The big man with no real talent and no punch meets the lot smaller man with a punch, but no chin and a big mouth. Valuev to win, but neither would beat the Klitchkos.
-
If they were executing a warrant, the damage would not be criminal. You are entitled to have any damage repaired. In terms of the arrest, it would only be wrongful if you were arrested for something you hadn't done, nor had the Police any genuine suspicion. I presume you were arrested on suspicion of committing an offence, in which case you will almost definitely not be compensated.
-
Never heard of anything remotely like this. Perhaps it is particular to your county or you have moved area recently.
-
Where would this view leave Perazzis. Guerinis are a new firm, but this is pure speculation. They have sold well in the USA where they shoot many, many thousands of shells. I don't see any complaints there. I like my Beretta nd I like my Guerini, but neither will last as long as a Vostock. I still maintain Guerini are more gun for your money.
-
A fair number of posts with little response from the original poster. My money is on a wind-up.
-
I have only done one myself - I opened up a 20 bore auto to true cylinder with a reamer. I don't think a reamer will give you a taper in the choke. You are really looking for a gradual taper. Unless you are going true cylinder - get a gunsmith to do it. It's cheap enough. If you make a mess, it will cost you.
-
Nothing less than excellent. Well done.
-
Since my last post, I have been comparing them in earnest. If anyone said compare Browning to Beretta - it's a bit easier - completely different designs - both excellent in their own right. Beretta v Guerini - not that easy - both are similar - shallow action - Italian feel - similar balance. Almost too hard to call, but I still believe Guerini is more gun for your pound.
-
I have owned a number of guns - many Browning Mirokus etc. At the moment I have a Miroku MK38, a Beretta 682 Gold E and a Guerini. All are 32" trap models. Guerini is the heaviest, but doesn't feel like it. Looks well engineered and nicely balanced. I have never been a Beretta fan, but I have been using the 682 for about six weeks with very good results. If I was to chose the best value for money - probably the Miroku. Between the Beretta and Guerini - little to chose in build quality or handling, but Guerini is more gun for your money.
