  1. It will have the model on it. Don't know about the Columbus triggers - just value.
  2. If it's a Zoli Kronos model with detachable triggers - it's cheap (by a couple of hundred pounds). If it's a Zoli Columbus - it's not cheap at all.
  3. Sorry about your news. I have a friend who last half his leg in a bike accident (above the knee). He climbs ladders and is as mobile as me, or better. I shot a round of sporting a few months ago with someone who was clearly a very good shot. He only missed a couple. He said he his shooting had gone downhill since losing his leg. I said that he must have been very good before. The shooting side will hopefully be unaffected - mobility being your potential problem. I am reliably informed that you are better placed as you will be retaining your knee joint. I attended a talk recently, given by a Scottish Mountaineer who had lost both feet and hands. He is still climbing mountains and actually juggled to finish off his talk. I kid you not. http://www.nyt.co.uk/jamie-andrew.htm

    Truglo

I have one fitted to both of my guns. My son uses one on his. A good friend Mark fitted one yesterday after complaing about looking down the side of the barrel. He shot 46/50 at Rishton today on a difficult sporting layout. His highest ever. All were fitted with the "Ruby" sight. Identical to the Truglo, but 2/3 the price. Easily obtained via another site. PM me if you want the details.

    Vostok MU6/MU8

There was one for sale - advertisd at Blackpool Gun Club - on the noticeboard - Trap model. If you ring the owner, he might be able to point you in the right direction.
  9. I bought a 32" Summit Trap a couple of weeks ago - brand new. I actually set out to buy a Miroku, but ended up with a Caesar Guerini. The finish is excellent and the handling is spot on. Not too light, but feels very well balanced. I agree about the chokes - very tight. I didn't get a 1/2 choke, but not sure I will bother now. I used 1/4 and 3/8 for Sporting with Eley 7 1/2s. It powdered anything it hit. I still own a Browning XT and Miroku MK38, so I can compare directly. The value for money is better with the Guerini. Roughly the same price bracket a the XT, but better woodwork. Barrels are very, very nicely finished. Only niggle - chokes were a bit stiff the first time I screwed them in. They have eased now. Highly recommended and a bit different.
  10. It would be cheaper to buy a 30" Medalist. You can't just buy barrels for Medalists. Even if you could, I sincerely doubt that they would fit. They are not manufactured to that degree of tolerance.
  11. A number of my neighbours have had it done. They have had massive problems with standing water, turning to ice in winter and cracks. Next door's concrete was waifer thin at the edges. I saw it being put down - two inches. The contractors all cut expansion joints into the pattern, after it has been done. They did not go all the way through, nor fill the joints. First winter - the cracks filled with water - weather turns cold - water freezes - water expands - massive cracks. I have also seen horrendous problems with the re-sealing fluid. My lads did my drive, when I was laid up and couldn't do it myself. Several tons of crush and run, followed by ten inches of concrete, with a carpet of block paving, set in sand / cement on top. It is slightly OTT,but if a bomb drops and the house is flattened, the drive will remain intact.
  12. It really boils down to your GP. You might think you are better - he might not. Hence the continuing medication. I don't know what the period would be after you ceased medication and your GP pronounced you fit, but you need to discuss the matter with him and your FLO. If you are genuinely keen - don't give up on shooting. Use club guns under supervision, if that's what it takes. Shooting is a hobby which can last you a lifetime. I have been clay shooting for approx 30 years. Good luck and take the long term view.
  13. I think they changed their name to Direct Arms Imports. There is a firm listed on Guntrader Dealer Secion (West Midlands)DAI - don't know if it is the same one.
  14. They were imported by Trapshot at Stourbridge, years ago. I think the shop has gone - don't know who replaced them.
  15. If you can see the full bead over a £1 coin on its' side, your gun is shooting high. It would be impossible to do otherwise.
  16. From memory they were cheapish Italian guns from some years ago. Never actually seen one. Try this link - http://www.shotgunworld.com/bbs/viewtopic....highlight=lames Welcome - by the way.
  17. There was talk of them throwing a conrod out of the side of the block at 35k. Mega expensive repair. Put me right off them.
  18. Anyone know who is the importer?:o???

    Gary Glitter

One Government Minister was on the radio saying that once back in the Uk, Glitter will not be allowed to travel abroad. Theory is one thing. If it is so easy to get into the country, I am at a loss as to how they are going to enforce that one. Despite the fact he will not immediately be in prison, I suspect life for Glitter will be as unpleasant as his case merits.
  23. What model and barrel length is the Browning?
