  1. Out doing some training with the dog tonight and sent him for a dummy I'd thrown into some long undergrowth. You can imagine my surprise when he returned, not with the dummy.......but a duck! The duck was limp when he delivered it so I laid it down and made the dog sit and steadied him down as he's pretty hyper. Went to inspect the duck which then promptly flew off. Amazed.com
  2. Agree to disagree and put the matter to bed. No point in arguing or trying to change his mind, go for a pint and talk about kangaroos and religion instead
  3. It's coming up with this years for me Got your name up in lights for sixth place
  4. Now that's something that needs practice! I remember rocking up the A12 many moons ago rolling a fag, steering with my knees and yodelling to some obscure music when a police car roared passed me at mach 10 scaring the bejesus out of me. Had to start all over again!
  5. How did the water taste??
  6. Ah well you didn't say that, nothing worse than being put off your food and drink when trying to drive. No consideration some people
  7. You had a grumble and they turned around after apologising. How does that make them ####s
  8. Results are up, along with some dodgy looking photos (no's 4 & 5) http://www.shot-your-trap.co.uk/8.html
  9. ****** that for a laugh. I saw a boom come down once (spider?), thankfully the operator was stood next to it rather than inside - looking at the damage to the cage I can't see how anyone would go up in one of these things, let alone strap themselves in! And people trust those legs? No bloody way
  10. I once swore an Oath of Allegiance to the Queen, her heirs and successors. I was and still am proud to have served under her and would do so again tomorrow given the opportunity. Much of the world will have looked on in awe at the pomp and pageantry displayed over the last four days and long may it continue. The Queen stands for all that is good about this country, politicians stand for all that is bad. Be above politics, be proud
  11. Thanks for all the responses, it certainly looks like I'll be reconsidering my options
  12. Thanks all for a great morning. Personally I think it's one of, if not the, best shoots of the year in Essex and found the variety and complexity of birds on offer really good without being too 'rangy'. Shooting from a bank over a quartering white followed by a quartering black on report - how simple but effective was that! Special thanks to Bakerboy for bringing his gun at such short notice to fill the gap when DD had to pull out. And the rain held off!! Same time, same place next year
  13. Sorted, Bakerboy to the rescue
  14. Mine might end up in the pond
  15. I've sent Terry a PM, hopefully he'll be up for it.....
  16. Thanks Blaser, kind of got my sights set on the Oakleys but keeping my options open.
  17. That's done it, remember your waterproofs
  18. I'm looking to spend some money on some Oakley prescription lenses for my Flak Jacket sunglasses. Obviously they're quite expensive and I want to buy a single set rather than multiple lenses for all situations, so I'm left with the problem of trying to find a suitable lens for 'most' situations. With this in mind I like the look of their Photochromic/Transition lenses which change according to the light. So, before I splash the cash I was hoping some of you may have experience of using them and whether or not they're actually any good? http://uk.oakley.com/innovation/optical-superiority/photochromic Thanks.
  19. Picture 5 scared the bejesus out of me
  20. Next year we expect one or two great southerners to join us; Big George and a certain Richard Faulds. 365 days to register chaps. We don't half need 'em
