  1. I agree with Mungler here, you can buy a nice second hand Breitling for not too much more money, look for one that's just been back to Breitling for a service. The reason for this is that they strip the watch down completely as part of the servicing and then they polish the exterior too - the watch comes back looking 'Brand New'.... :-)
  2. That's awesome mate - have a good shoot :-) Wish I could be there - I am however, off to Ferrari World at the Abu Dhabi F1 track :-)
  3. Just out of interest I thought there was 10% plus 2mph allowed on the speed limit.....?
  4. Burt, I'd love to have been there mate but unfortunately I'm miles away - you should PM Chris, he's shooting over at Cambridge on a fairly regular basis.... Take care buddy - as soon as I'm back in the UK I'll give you a call :-)
  5. Mate, I won't have any spare tickets but if you need a place to stay then PM me.... PW at its best again folks :-)
  6. UK Poacher - I think what you've done transforming your dogs in that period of time is awesome and a credit to you :-) Just out of interest, do you use the clicker as part of your training program. I've had good results with it over the years....
  7. Have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed the F1 today - made up for not going to Hitclay's shoot today due to the rain.... I'm moving out to Dubai on Sunday, so who knows might actually get to watch it next time live :-)
  8. UK Poacher - good advice and taken onboard, thank you...
  9. Kent, thanks for the advice, I'm going to buy 2 electric collars - one for each dog. I've had numerous GSD's over the years and have always trained them using techniques taught to me by the breeder we always go to (namely clicker training). The dog barking in the car is the only issue I have with the 'girls' and as I stated earlier its not the cleverest thing to try and train them whilst driving. I think that I will purchase the ec with the buzzer function too and try that first, if that fails then I'll use the shock function. I've seen them on the Bay with shock levels with increments of 100 steps - hopefully I won't have the smell of burning dog fur in the car.... Lol I also understand the dogs' association with the collar and car business. Would it be a good idea to leave the collars on on a more permanent basis...? Again, Kent, thanks for your help :-)
  10. I vented the bottle a long time ago - I'm also aware of the dangers of grease/pure oxygen, I'm an aircraft techie :-) It's still here if anyone wants to collect, it's free! Cheers
  11. Kent, thanks for your post mate - I think it's got to be worth a try. Our other GSD that has never barked in the car at other dogs is now doing it too - it's very frustrating apart from the barking nearly bursting my ear drums! Lol
  12. Rimfire, I've been looking at these as well. We've got a few issues with our ten month old GSD, mainly going mental when she's in the car as soon as she sees other dogs. Obviously trying to control her whilst driving is not only very wrong but almost impossible. I did watch the Caesar Malone series on dog training and he did use said item in a couple of episodes where he was trying to control a dogs behaviour at distance. Sorry I've had no useful input to your thread but I am also very interested in this subject... Thanks for starting :-)
  13. Paul, that's awesome news - I'm still thinking about getting it done, thanks for the feedback... ;-)
  14. I fail to see why a release trigger is of a greater danger than a normal trigger.... If anyone can enlighten me I'd be very grateful :-) At the end of the day, unless you're going to fire the weapon then your finger shouldn't be on the trigger, surely? Thanks.
  15. Tetra gun grease for me too... :-)
  16. If I was in the fortunate position to be dating a new date knowing my luck she would probably turn out to be Brian May's daughter...! Lol
  17. If its intermittent the timing won't be out - as said its more likely to be one of the sensors...
  18. I've got a bottle that was used for oxygen in a glider that I have since sold... I'm not sure if its of any use due to fittings but its free to whoever wants to collect from the norwich area :-)
  19. Demonwolf444, thanks for the reply... I don't normally go into WH Smiths so obviously I don't normally have contact with their managers. However I'm taking my son in to Norwich tomorrow (who is just 14 but to be fair doesn't look it) so I'll see how we get on! We were both at mid Norfolk shooting ground today - had an excellent time! He enjoys being in the company of shooters and reads the Clay Shooters magazine at home so we'll see if he can purchase a copy tomorrow... Keep up the cause...!!!
