Can the above be attached to the fence rail by using staples using an electric nail gun? I was thinking that maybe I could put 2-3 through each board but not sure if they would be strong enough? The length of them are okay. I have nails ready to use but thought it would be quicker with staples.

HIKMICRO Thunder 19mm/35mm/50mm Ultimate.
steve_b_wales replied to steve_b_wales's topic in Guns & Equipment
Yes. I have the first version of the Thunder, the 2nd version comes (at a price) with the Rusan QR adaptor. I've just ordered one from Slovenia, as most of the UK companies I messaged about one, couldn't even be bothered to reply. -
HIKMICRO Thunder 19mm/35mm/50mm Ultimate.
steve_b_wales replied to steve_b_wales's topic in Guns & Equipment
This is the 'ultimate' package that enables you to use it a stand alone scope, spotter and front add on. The cross hairs can be switched off if using it as a spotter. Someone on a thermal hunting Facebook website stated that if using it as a front add on, it has to be synchronised with the rifle scope. Why, I don't understand? -
So do I. I have a FAC 8 shot version and it's brilliant. Used mainly for crop protection (corvids/pigeons) many 1000's of cartridges have been put through it with no issues.

Hi John. I need a 57mm Rusan adaptor. I'm not sure of the thread size of the HIKMICRO Thunder. There is an option to purchase the adaptor with reducing ring fitted. Thanks.

HIKMICRO Thunder 19mm/35mm/50mm Ultimate.
steve_b_wales replied to steve_b_wales's topic in Guns & Equipment
I've just had a message from someone on a Thermal hunting Facebook page who stated that the Thunder has to be aligned with the rifle scope. I'll take a look at Youtube anyway though. Thanks. -
Does anyone use the above thermal 'scope'. A question I have is, if I use this as a front add on, on my scope, can it just be connected and used without sychronising the reticule on the Thunder with the scope's reticule?
-
Very sad to see the fox in such a sorrowful state. Can't someone humanely dispatch it?
-
Yes a few people have said how good the Rusan system is. I'm looking for the best price.
-
That's what I was thinking to be honest. The thermal add on does have a choice of reticules but as you've mentioned, it shouldn't make a difference as the scope if the scope is zeroed. I'll have a look at the instructions again and see what they say. Thanks for your (and other's)comments/suggestions.

It's to connect the HIKMICRO collar better to the scope. It comes with self adhesive rubber strips which, when I tried them, still alowed the thermal add on to move. I am looking into purchasing a RUSAN QR adaptor and reducing ring, but thought I would try something else first. Further to my first post regarding using a plastic shim, I've now noticed that the add on still moves. Maybe a thicker shim will do the job, but I can see me ending up buying the RUSAN system (which is used with the HIKMICRO Thunder 2 version I've been told.
-
Does anyone know if it's possible to purchase various thickness shims? I've got a HIKMICRO Thunder set up and to attach the unit as a front add on, they supply various thickness self adhesive rubber strips. This is certainly not ideal to maintain zero if removing and refitting the unit. There is a collar/reducing ring made by RUSAN which is good but this comes at a price (approx £158) but I found a thin shim which fits around my 57mm scope and the HIKMICRO collar fits snugly without movement. I haven't tried it for loss of zero as yet, as I haven't synchronised it with my scope, but I do know that it's far better than the rubber strips. I plan to use the Thunder as a stand alone scope on my .22 Hornet and an add on, either on my .22lr or .243. Any advice etc appreciated.

Put this in Sporting Opportunities (free)

I spoke (mainly) to Scott, and to another staff member (who didn't sound 'old') and, as mentioned, both were very friendly and helpful.
-
Sad to see them in this state. It would be kind to put her out of her misery, perhaps using a .22lr subsonic when she's in your garden.
-
Correct. We can thank good old Maggie Thatcher for this, I believe.

A friend of mine will soon have 100 of the above cases for sale. He doesn't reload so I prepare them ready for sale on his behalf. The cases will be deprimed, full length resized and wet tumbled. Price is £60 inc 2nd class signed for postage.

It took approx' 3 hours for it to work on me. And after drinking the 2 ltrs, my bowels were completely emptied.

I would like to thank the above company, and in particular, Scott, who dealt with my purchase recently of a HIKMICRO Thunder 35mm Ultimate package. From the very first enquiry about it, Scott was very helpful, both via email and phonecalls. After receiving the goods, I discovered that the 40mm scope collar (advertised to fit up to 50mm) was not suitable and I have been offered a refund on that piece if kit. This is the first time I've dealt with this company but it certainly won't be the last. Thanks Scott.
-
Thanks. I'll contact the dealership later today.
-
Yes the service was approx a month ago.
-
No, I don't have them.
-
Has anyone got or used the above? I recently purchased a HIKMICRO Thunder ultimate set up but have read that keeping zero is not that good, and accordingly, the Rusan system is much better. It's not cheap though.

A few days ago I noticed that when I applied the brakes on my vehicle, sometimes the brake pedal felt hard to press and I also felt slight movement on the clutch pedal. It only happens now and then. My vehicle has just had a service with no faults etc found. It's under warranty but I wanted advice first before reporting it, if anyone can suggest something.

Selling FAC ammunition
steve_b_wales replied to deadeye18's topic in Bullets, Cartridges and Reloading
I sold a rifle and ammunition to my mate. With regard to the ammunition, I entered the calibre and quantity and stated 'gift'.
