I am keen for 'Trophy Fox' ok not by weight but maybe nose to tail (gloves are allowed)? There is always talk of how many pigeons, and trophy deer so some fox measure would be good.

BASC fights global ban on lead ammunition
oowee replied to David BASC's topic in General Shooting Matters
Thx for the link David. Its no doubt a constant battle with change and what better than to have an organisation like BASC battling on our behalf. That's what we pay them for after all. -
I had to open a brass padlock and watched a Youtube video to open it with a coke can. It worked.

I hope your right I have just put money on it.

10 mins for 100m wow that is good i need one. It takes me at least 3 hours to do top and inside face of my front hedge (about 140m) that's with me standing in the trailer and my wife driving tractor. .

Looks a nice shrub. My trimmer will cut anything from grass to 2cm dia. There must be a gap between the front and rear blades on your Makita so rather than sliding past each other in a guillotine action the gap is allowing the plant to pass between the blades. I would have thought even if its blunt it should cut that hedge.

It will be fascinating to see how the vote breaks down across the country will you watch the results Thurs night / fri morning? I dont know what time they will start but I will be glued.
-
I dont know about the trimmer you have or the amount of hedge you need to cut. If its small any of the cheap trimmers will do even the electric ones are pretty good. I bought the still multi tools and engine as its a great combination for the hedge strimming and lopping. They seem pretty robust and not so expensive for what you get particularly if you have other work to do. There is an extension pole for it, which whilst a little cumbersome to use, is ideal for the hard to reach bits. I have 600m + of hedge but I get the farmer to do most of it leaving me just the front.

Oh I thought what was good for the average working Jo's employer was probably good for the average Jo too.

No one. They all want in except Weatherspons that wants us to drown our sorrows with an out vote Come to think of it that's not a bad idea. Anyone fancy a beer friday night win or loose its a good enough reason to have one.

+1 buy local if you can. -
Another one Ford says a break from the European Union would cost it "hundreds of millions of pounds". That's because it's not only a manufacturer and exporter, but its finance arm is regulated as a bank. How many warnings how many jobs and brexitiers just wont listen.
-
Mostly small business wants in particularly those that don't export. Weatherspoons of course will all want to drown our sorrows over the next few years if we vote out. I also see that 'leave EU' has been fined £50k for spam texts Alan Sugar is funding remain describing leaving a 'massive mistake'. Also Morgan Stanley, Citigroup, Airbus Lord Sainsbury £2.7m for remain

I agree. Its simply a matter of time to negotiate if its quick and takes just 5 years thats enough time to loose business form the UK. I think we will loose many of the industries here that manufacture for the EU (Honda, Nissan, Toyota, BMW etc etc) to the mainland. Over time I could see the UK realigning itself to a realigned EU back in under a new banner.

This is an excellent piece.

Never say never with these things. Especially with economic meltdown in the US and the rise of China and India and even a reformist EU. The clear thing in politics is change what goes around comes around. Its not all signed off but this bit is agreed with the courts. All things can change life is not static. Even if its signed off it can change.
-
No doubt it would be easier to negotiate alone but maybe the terms are not so good for a desperate seller? If you were the US would you rather negotiate with the EU or the UK given the size of the market. It will be easier for the EU to resist GM products and avoid opening up health services to competition than the UK. These proposals are currently in the TTIP agreement on the table to the EU from the US. We want the trade but we want to maintain standards.

Interesting question my guess would be that It will be choppy for a long time and gradually fall against the euro for the next few years if we are out. If we are in it will likely rally massively on Friday and that would be the time to but as it will probably go up too high and then fall back over the next week or so. As Mickyh says it may not make much difference (10% or so?) depending on your budget more savings from a prepaid card than the exchange rate.
