Wild Boar Hunting with Shotgun Slug or Buckshot?

LG or SSG, seen a lot of vids using slugs, and even the not so well placed shots still stopped the Boar in its tracks. -
Why the blurred face, don't work for the RSPCA do you?

Have you ever been hit by a broken clay?
Berettacocker replied to PeaceFrog's topic in Clay Pigeon Shooting
Yes, on the flurry, as well as glasses always wear a cap. Especially if your folicaly challenged like me :( -
Always found beans, bit hit and miss. Sometimes they'll lay on top for weeks, if not months, untouched. Then along comes plough, turns over field, you think you've missed your chance, then they start chitting and the pigeons come in droves!. Don't think pigeons eat many beans when they're hard like pebbles, but once softened by rain, will often switch on to them.

stick with, " I really like to be in the farmers good books " and, " I think I might have missed a couple "

8 pigeon or soaps on TV, no contest!

Anyone still use no.7 shot for pigeons?
Berettacocker replied to Man o kent's topic in Pigeon Shooting Tips
32gram 6s clear pigeon. I like to feel confident that everything ( in range ) I shoot at will be dead. I used to shoot 7 1/2 clay shells all the time, with good results and big bags, but as you become a more proficient shot, you start thinking, that's a bit stretchy with an ounce of 7 1/2, so don't shoot. Fair play, very sportsmanlike, but if your good enough to kill long birds consistently, why under arm yourself ? -

That's a rare find nowadays , wish it was a sporter. Was it put away as an investment ? And how much would it have cost in 1978? -

Stunning rifle and scope! -
what about a cut on your finger, or touching urine and putting your finger in your mouth/ eating etc. a friend taking down pens, moving feeders/ drinkers was close to death with weils after rolling fags with rats pee on his fingers! So don't be blasé about rats!

that's a wood mouse !

I always face angels into wind, as they're meant to represent a bird about to land.
-
Been killing a few rats in the partridge pens, last couple of weekends under straw bales. Killed a fair few old and young, and as Rodney Trotter would say, " it's a RAT! "

Nice vid, shame about the sound track! -
I know what you're saying, I love to see the song birds in the garden, but if you attract rats, and can't keep the food away from them, then stop feeding. Bird tables are more like Sparrowhawk feeding stations nowadays. And who would want to put their family at risk of weils disease? Not me! :(
-
Both rats for sure. Forget the poison, just stop feeding the birds, and rats will leave. No food = no rats!
-
And who said rotaries put birds off? !

Welcome from an ex Baggie! -
Baikal, especially SS, also Strasser rifles, and any sporting rifle that looks like it should be used in American Sniper and not in the shooting field!
