Get some local air gunners with night vision, and have some rat shooting parties. Also stack a few straw bales with one on top and poison heavily. Like said keep on top of them with every method available .

that's what I use on close to medium range foxes ( .300 Win mag ) but I find at longer distances, say, 60-80 yards, it lacks the devastating trauma caused by the far superior .22 LR round!!!!!.....

If it's your first gundog, and train it right, you'll be over the moon with it anyway.

I know it's upsetting JD, but that's a mighty fine view out your window. I have to look at the houses out the back! -

If your planning on more litters, then make one. But if disposable ones are cheap, then for one litter sounds fine.

We all see lead differently, so we can all give our opinions and probably confuse the OP. I don't use BBB, but it's a good starting point, and OP will gain his own style of shooting with good effect with time.i could shoot crossing, Moorhens, pigeons, pheasant, geese and anything else for that matter, and feel I give none more lead than the other. It just I pick up their speed with the mount pull through and shoot. It's a learning curve after all, so just enjoy!

I've seen you shoot pigeons with a 410, but 300 yard foxes with an airgun! Bit over kill for you ! -
that is pup money bb. Why don't you do what a lot of trainers do, put three months work into him, then advertise him as part trained for well over £1000!. You'd get your arm bitten off then! By the way I've got to stop looking at pics of this gorgeous looking dog! I'm steering clear of north wales!
