Log on to CBUK ( charter boats uk ) you'll find places all around the coast. Individual / part boat / full boat places, in last minute bookings. And seeing as you want mid week, you'll have no problem getting on the better charter boats. Also a lot of the time the boat will only be half full, giving you plenty of fishing space and still only pay the price of an individual ! Take a look, booking the whole boat without monies up front is usually a nightmare! :(

Unfortunately, with the few people who poison/ trap raptors, it wouldn't stop them having pot shots at passing birds of prey, however far away, with a ***** it dies eventually mentality. Then again it could be a more sinister set up by the antis?

That's a nice, proper looking lab. Ones nowadays too racey with pointed snouts, and upward curling tails, not like the otter like rudders we used to love . :(

Been given Brent by an essex farmer, who was allowed to shoot ex amount on licence for crop protection, and believe me they are rank. Make shoveler taste like best scallops! So other than for sport, leave them be. Like to see pheasant season start a month later, as October pheasants are not strong or feathered enough till November on most shoots. And extent their season till end February . Keep partridge and inland duck as they are, as always seem to be paired/ pairing up by late jan, early February.

good tip, but when choosing a pup, tend to do this and pick from the boldest pups, make things easier when introducing to shot. Avoid shy / scared pups just in case.

Good natured and biddable you say, start again from scratch on recall,and if necessary, use a check cord to coax her in gently. Think you'll be fine in a little time.
