  1. Hi guys gun is mine and I can confirm it is available. Gun watch posted ad, but wouldn't let me edit after?!? Lop will be standard as gun is in standard format original pad etc.... So 14-3/4" I would think, but will check
  2. Fenboy you have my number?! always willing to help....
  3. Ahh..... So my recipe in the end then fenboy!? πŸ˜† It works very well Nick..... Took plenty of geese with that load it works for me and is a 'lighter' loading compared to most heavy data. In 10 ga I used 2-1/8oz CSBO load which stopped geese with authority through a terror 😈πŸ’₯ Cgr 300 wad πŸ‘ Unbuffered
  4. No chance! .........still be working hard ..... Well loading in the field, but no chance to pull the trigger myself. Though I will get out the first week to celebrate rather than any real opportunity!
  5. Game bore mammoth are a great shell for an 'all rounder' I use 3's and 1's for duck.. 3's for average shots, 1's for taller duck..... They work well. 3's in same weight home loaded however are FAR superior....... And these are not super fast, but 150fps quicker than gamebore. I can't make home loads for price of mammoths tho!
  6. Fenboy my pb was 220 on peas to my own gun. Carts I don't know! I remember it well though as it was an invite and I had never shot near a 100 before! Last year I had a lot of fun sharing a hide with two friends for just over the 100, but banter, laughing and eye wiping made it!
  7. International cartridge testing that is correct George, same for 24g. However most cartridges( sporting, club carts, game carts) I doubt are this exact!
  8. 220 on my own. 366 shared, but it's not the numbers, 100 crackers beats 300 floppers!
  9. Just because it 'looks' the same doesn't mean it is! However I could be wrong! Quality of shot is v. Important and powder blend. DTL 300 are made slow, DTL targets do not require speed, they require consistent patterns and velocity for consistent shooting. Even budget cartridges performed more consistently than most shots as we miss the target not the cartridges! A lot of manufacturers share components, with only one small change to the load. Fiocchi Golden Trap are very similar to Official Trap, but pattern tighter with the gold wash, polished shot in my gun
  10. Hi all, previously I have had pretty standard cheap machines, been ok but heavy and required large leisure batteries to run all day! Used a UK shoot warehouse leightweight for a day with dead birds and it ran all day on a small battery and light/simple too. Looked at the A1 version and it's supplied with dead bird wing spreaders, as only use dead birds, seemed a good price. Anyone used this rotary?? Any good?? Any problems?? Thanks
  11. I do have a gold 10 r/hand, but the action is so long it's miles away from your face unlike a 12ga 3" auto!
  12. I thought r handed auto guns were ok for a leftie too........... Until unburnt/ still burning powder is blown back in your eye out of the ejection port!!!!!!!!! Painful and dangerous! Had it happen with an AL391 a long time ago fowling in a strong wind. Never shot a r/hand auto since without glasses. My eye sight is too valuable!!!! L/hand autos are the way to go shooting magnums in cold temps, strong winds and wet conditions! πŸ‘
  13. No problems with mine Tony R, no jams or malfunctions with 3.5" but I too had heard of problems with earlier ones. Mine was 1st l/hander in country and was better finished than my fathers r/hand xtreme 2 y older.... Shot a fair few birds with it this season! Have a 10 ga BPS too πŸ‘
  14. Beretta a400 xtreme..... Left handed Have one, works great, soft shootingπŸ‘
  15. 3.5" puts more shot in the case....... Doesn't mean it all ends up on pattern board!!! That's why you need to try loads out. A 3.5" case does not give more 'power', 'range' or 'bigger pattern' just because it's 3.5" vs 3"...... However utilising aftermarket chokes, home loaded big steel in 3.5" loads I can extended usable range for steel in the 12 ga. 3.5" steel will not compare to a 3" hevi shot/power shot/ HW for penetration/pattern in my experience. But all of us should realise our limitations....... Not just the cartridges......
  16. Robert, the browning gold 3.5" was notorious for problems with 3.5" loads, personally I would go for a baikal or beretta, tried and tested to work..... The others will have people that support or hate. I had a Benelli that was super consistent and reliable for 7 years until recoil spring and bolt spring weakened. Others had nothing but bad luck! The baikal is built like a tank, but not especially light? Otherwise how about a 3" beretta 303 or 390/391?? Should be able to pick one up reasonable? The best in my opinion is the Xtrema2 can get for the right money now and best designed waterfowl auto in my opinion, and I have the a400 xtreme and still think that!
  17. Rio cases so will need Rio primer as different diameter to chedsπŸ‘
