  1. I agree with that! Was pretty bored the day i went! But well done with the pics.
  2. Best thing i have ever seen anybody give away free on the internet. Very Very Generous!!!
  3. I seen a guy with size 14 feet and he was a giant! Turns out its not really that massive! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3274916/20-year-old-Venezuelan-breaks-Guinness-World-Record-having-largest-feet-measuring-massive-40-1cm.html
  4. I'm picturing Goliath in these... Out of curiosity what height are most people with size 15 feet.
  5. I had bad accuracy with both those aswell in my Ruger 10/22 but CCI Quiet was pretty accurate for me.
  6. I have a Ruger 10/22 which is a semi auto and can take the big 25 round banana mags even the big 110 round drum mags legally. The problem i was told with these is that the police don't like to give out tactical looking rifles like this unless you are in a club. Was told by gun dealer but may be different in NI.
  7. Im in NI so not a big lot of shows. Otherwise would have been a good idea.
  8. Not a impossible question just has no one exact answer. I could say that the best shotgun for hunting would be a semi-auto as you have a extra shot if needed and usually lighter so easier to carry around. Could say a o/u for clays as less recoil and semi-auto not always aloud in clay pigeon clubs. As for make you could tell the some good makes like Beretta or Benelli. Very simple stuff but to a learner would be helpful. I agree the op hasn't been very specific and may have elaborated for us but you may well have scared him off... (Not you in particular)
  9. I agree. You can tell him he is stupid in a nicer way. From his profile it looks like he only has experience with shotguns. And with no experience of any Rifles or Air Rifles its really not that ridiculous the question he has asked. He basically is looking a gun with the best Range and he also said the "Best" (look at the title) obviously meaning quality and accuracy. So no need for the Roasting! I would recommend a Air Arms or Weihrauch Underlever Sub 12ft/lb and in .177 which will give more range. As for power the .22 will deliver greater knock down power over .177 but .177 will have flatter trajectory.
  10. was told they wouldn't be as loud. And i want it as loud as possible to stop any intruders. Does anyone know the difference in saluting blanks and yachting blanks?
  11. what size of shot would be needed for say 3-5 yards as some times a crazy cow wouldn't let you get to within a foot. Maybe too much spread at that distance. Any chance of deflected pickles?
  12. Anybody got these? The short ones for the alarm mine.
  13. I use 22lr subsonic for foxes and haven't shot a ton but all have been clean kills. Even a well placed subsonic to the chest at very close range will drop them on the spot!
  14. On a farm most farmers will agree that due to vet prices not many people want to phone the vet. My dad included. When young lambs or sheep get injured or have a severe problem and it costs say £60-£80 for the vet. Even more in some cases and the sheep can be around the same price it just isn't logical to call for the vet. I have only ever put down one ewe for my dad and that was with .22lr Stingers as they are the most powerful. I went with the B option as i felt front of the skull may have deflected it. Had a Round bale behind incase it went through and it did. And was a bit shocked as the ewe didn't even twitch. Still wasn't a pretty site blood pouring out of both sides of its head. I would imagine it would be worse with a Shotgun? Didn't use a shotgun as i didn't honestly think it would do it as i only had 7.5 and 6. This may be a gruesome question so i apologise in advance but when you do it with a shotgun i assume it would need to be 5 yards or closer. And shooting at it i would almost feel i would have to turn my head away incase pickles would come back at you off the skull and blind you and would you get any mess come back at you or on the gun??
  15. is Millet not supposed to be expensive?
  16. Sorry lads just back from the Archery! I am right handed and shoot with my right eye. It was Absolutely freezing on the day of the shoot and very windy so now that i think of it i had two heavy jumpers on! May be part of the problem! Gun was a Silma M80 30" so not as if it has much kick! Its pretty easy on the recoil. Would be willing to go get it fitted but don't know of such a place here in Northern Ireland? The Gun:
  17. Recently at a Local Clay Shoot. Shooting with my gun i got very noticeable swelling and a bit of a bruise on my cheek from shooting clays. Was told that i mustn't be mounting or holding the gun right. I showed them how i mount and hold the gun and they couldn't fault what i was doing. Made it into the Final and was getting sore. Was told not to hold it soo tight to my cheek so tried holding it off a bit and missed the first two so went back to my usual way and hit the rest apart from 1 and won the competition. I can hit very well with the gun but always get bruising. Don't really want to change a gun that i hit soo well with either. Any advice?
  18. I have found that putting up signs makes the more likely to stumble your way as alot of the people are that stubborn and twisted that they like to do the opposite of what someone tells them. Put a arrow pointing down your lane that your shooting on and write on it Christian Worship and Bible Study and they will run the other way.
  19. It looks great so far! Keep us all updated!
