  1. well of course the case has been heard. How does that negate the stated reason she brought the case? Was the funding to cover her legal costs withdrawn by Scottish Legal Aid? if so then she was more rogered by them than her alleged rapist.
  2. We must have read different reports of the story. Miss M has now mounted an action through the civil courts, seeking just under £100,000 in damages and financial losses. She has been granted funding to cover her costs by the Scottish Legal Aid Board and the case will begin in March. She says she has been supported throughout the case by the University of St Andrews."
  3. I suppose, for many, the problem may be partly the financial reward. She got her verdict in a court so vindicated her claims, why would she want to benefit financially too?
  4. Mainly Saturdays with 2 or 3 Wednesdays
  5. That's the thing, if you don't get it back right away then it is probably best not to get it back at all.
  6. That is an absolute bargain for someone.
  7. Is that wee bike big enough for you? ???
  8. this was what I was hinting at earlier regarding whether she was marking the mark before you sent her. If you do return to sending her on hand signals then it is important not to send her until she is looking the way you are sending her having lined her up, that is often when they will run out and turn to look at you as they don't actually know where they are supposed to be going.
  9. Is she actually marking the mark before you send her?
  10. I don't think he is bored, just that he has a drive to go hunt/explore/whatever. He needs to be constrained from doing so when he wants to.
  11. Apparently the hotel I use got raided a couple of years ago as they were shipping in hookers from the Baltic States for weekend parties......
  12. I would have suggested hookers, but then I imagine they are a bit rough in Cardiff.....
  13. I have no idea, but a fine of 2/3 of one week's wages at his earnings level means nothing to him in the grand scheme of things. His estranged wife is about to take £30m off him allegedly so what impact will this fine have in comparison? Offences whilst under the influence is a tricky thing. If you drink-drive on say a one-off it could be argued that you only did it because you were under the influence of alcohol and as a law-abiding citizen you would not ordinarily break the law. This type of individual would probably get such a fright at what they had done in the morning that they would never repeat the offense. If you are a serial drink-driver then you are clearly a danger to society and should not be permitted to drive a vehicle. Alcoholics, are clearly ill and given they will probably be consistently over the limit to drive should also not be permitted to drive a vehicle. Anyone registered as an alcoholic, not a recovering one, should have their driving licence revoked until a GP can sign them off as "recovering" - a bit like if I went to the GP suffering from depression, I would have my FAC/SGC revoked. Interestingly, if you drink & drive the actual crime and sentence relates specifically to the alcohol. If you are drunk and punch, beat or stab somebody then the charge and sentence relate to the actual assault - the actual driver (excuse the pun) behind the offence does not form the crime. I've always thought this somewhat anomalous, but probably not hugely material!
  14. I agree. if it is justified then by the same token why not make every price tag earnings-related - because it is nonsensical. The "punishment" for drink-driving surely should not be based upon your earnings, how is that possibly thought to be a deterrent?
  15. Yeah, absolutely get that. I just don't know what is available so wondered if there is anything decent for less than that price mark cheers
  16. Hi Anyone got a source for reasonable priced efficient fox traps. We are setting up a new syndicate and have a few to take out. Will be heading out with the rifle but could do with setting a few traps and don't fancy paying £100 each. Cheers MD
  17. I have an L200 Barbarian. it is auto and full leather and is the most comfortable vehicle we have ever driven, regular 5-6 hour trips to Scotland and get out at the other end pretty much fresh as a daisy. We have done 38k in 18 months so plenty of miles covered. 5 year/60k warranty is pretty decent too. Economy depends on your right foot. I usually get 31mpg as I like to get where I'm going. The missus gets 39mpg with cruise sitting at 60mph. if you pt chunky tyres on, as I have just done then you lose 10%+ economy so don't do it unless absolutely necessary. Love this L200, cant fault it.
  18. A bonus vixen tonight whilst waiting for the rats to come out. 25.06 certainly stops them, only my second ever fox. Total = 405
