  1. As per title, has anyone else seen this new story? Ban the killing of foxes... Yeah good one. So many in this county havent got a clue.
  2. 30g 6 pigeon selects for everything, pattern well through the gun smooth in the o/u and cycle fine through the a303, at a fiver a box can't go wrong. Could not get on with clear pigeons at all. As many others have said got to stick to what gives you confidence and works for you and your gun.
  3. Thanks, shooting show this weekend so I'll have a look into next weekend Shame I'm not coming that far up, thanks anyway.
  4. Thanks for all the suggestions, definitely think a raptor dummy is the best shot as I'm not sure id physically be able to net both areas Was it a particularly expensive or detailed one?
  5. I think the dummy is worth a go, Ideally Id like to net it as it would be properly bird proof but the area is just too big
  6. It's a definite option lol Pity their not covered under the general licence really, while I'm sure some appreciate the presence in the garden the toll they take on the cherries and raspberries is ridiculous.

    Blackbirds

Afternoon all, Has anyone out there got an effective way of keeping the black birds off the soft fruit come summer time? Legal suggestions only of course lol. Thanks.
  8. Truth be told I haven't been clay smashing yet with it but I've done plenty of rough shooting with it, 30g 6" pigeon selects are nice and smooth though it. As for weight I certainly notice on my left forearm when I've been it for an hour or 2 but it swings through nicely.
  9. Yeah sorry it was in the east anglian daily times a while back but the surrysquireler sums it up perfectly.
  10. Another on for Suffolk here + I've got an ATA sporter in nickle, cannot fault it at all for the price ?
  11. Signed, I read about that 13 year old lad who died in the local paper. While it's extremely sad that he lost he's life he was unsupervised using a home made air gun? As tragic as it is countless air gun owners are now gonna have to go through all this extra B.S because of a case of wreckless behaviour. Just my 2pence.
  12. I'm not sure either, would be much much cheaper to buy a cheap clay load and pick the end out lol lol.
  13. Are you sure they weren't blanks? My local earnest doe sells them, ridiculously expensive if I remember correctly.
  14. Can't fault my local, always good on cart prices, space out the back to try before you buy biggest + is he's always friendly. I'm in the east though same can't be said for all this way though.
  15. Gutted I missed this lol have a special place reserved in the cabinet for one.
  16. Yeah the later two of the boxes are full, the middle one has a got a handful in and the old box only has 3 in, no.5 shot I think they are. Pretty sure I remember him having 2 single barrel hammer guns, one of which he'd welded some sort of repair himself on.
  17. That's brilliant info, thanks mate. Do either of you know if there worth anything? Not expecting to be able to retire on them lol just the equivalent box is about £6.50 at my local rfd
  18. Yeah I thought they had to be fairly old as they info on the top is pretty decimalisation. Thanks you
  19. Morning all, Was wondering if any of you could help me put a rough date on these carts. They were my great grandads and he died early nineties so Im guessing the shiny boxed ones have got to be at least 25 years old. Haven't got any intention of using them I just like the boxes. Thanks all.
  20. Hi all looking for a Diana/ gecado model 22 stock doesn't matter if it's rough as its to cut to to fit my sons air rifle. thanks.
  21. It's not just the big commercial shoots, i know it's been mentioned before on this forum and no doubt many others but field basics such as, not taking your spent cartridges with you do enough damage as it is. I share one of my permissions with a couple of lads younger than me and frequently find empties. There's places where we and other members of the public walk that are littered with the same empty cases. It gives us all a bad name because to the antis one shooter is no different from the rest, regardless of wether we go on a big expensive shoot or are just looking to bag a couple pigeons for the pot.
  22. 2 yesterday, 1 the day before + 1 that was brave enough to perch on the edge of my hide. 1837
